Nice Hit! Common Guys are like $150-200 (except that dude who sold the first one for $10), so Cags is probably pretty big!

Well, they left that comment before the pre-order link was live. But, yes.

There are loads and loads of $2-$10 cards that you probably think are worthless.

I haven't even gotten my cases yet and I'll be shocked if I don't make my money back. Also been doing this for 15 years so I have a good idea of what stuff sells for after I open it.
I don't think you have been watching the base collation details.
Hobby is just like last year. Very hard to make sets, I got 2-3 copies of many players in an entire 12 box hobby case and 13-15 copies of many players.

I have. It all works out the same. I'll open 3 different SKUs in hopes of evening things out. If I don't, the lopsided cards will be converted to player lots. Point remains that there are zero $5 boxes of hobby, and Cal Raleigh gold /50s are not $3.

It dosen't work out the same for set making.

Jumbo's are by far the best for making sets.
From a six box case you can usually make 4 sets and close to 5.

Terrible collation from Hobby and Blasters and Hangers

I opened 4 Jumbo cases, 4 Hobby cases and 8 Blaster and 4 Hanger cases from series 1 last year, so i know what i am talking about.

Let me rephrase. Whether I build 1 set or 25 sets, the end result will be the same. 9,000 cards will be sold in some format whether it's base sets, team sets, player lots. As long as it averages 11-14 cents per card, "it all works out the same" as if the sets were perfectly collated in the first place.

My bad.

the problem is, you aren't going to average 11-14 sets because of the double print issue which equates to about 20% extra cards of about 50-60 players and other bad card collation

From 20 cases of various formats i had approx. 54,000 base cards.

I was only able to make 90 complete 350 card sets (31,500 cards).

I had to buy 1000 cards to make another 20 sets (6,000 cards from original)

This left me with 16,500 cards. Some players like Ben Rice, I had 100+ leftover dupes (probably 50-70 cards, I had 100+).

I had a gut feeling that after the basketball move to Topps happened we would see upward price action on the good baseball inserts. There has been a huge gap for a long time. I don't think baseball can reach those levels, but a move up was almost certain.

He said he traded a tennis card Ana jokic /5 for 2 jumbo cases. He’s a serial breaker apparently. I saw the photo of the card not sure but obviously a big hit. I may have the name wrong. Slavic name.

Grabbed 2 Blasters and 3 Hangers.

Opened the 2 blasters so far and notables are.....

Roman Anthony Rc

Jose Altuve Rainbow Foil

Ken Griffey Jr 1991 Insert x2

Vlad Guerrero 1991 Insert

Mike Trout Stars Of MLB x2

Dodgers Duo Spring Training Parallel

Paul Skeenes Admit One Insert

Shohei Ohtani Titans Of The Game Insert x2

Aaron Judge Titans Of The Game

*EDIT*

Hangers were all duds not a single #'d card and all the special diamonte parallels were no name players. Best card was a Jac Caglianone Titans Of The Game

We got Hosed! But we did pull everything I was looking for, just in base form. I do like the design, for me it was the Soto/150 that was the best pull.

He's not trying to build 11-14 sets. He's trying to sell all the cards for between 11 and 14 CENTS to break even. Doesn't matter if it's a set, a player/team lot or as singles. Just somehow getting to that average per card to break even.

Pretty sure op only bought 1 hobby box and pulled the Anthony while the other guy opened 4 cases pulling nothing much.

Got my Jumbo and the box had some exterior damaged and unfortunately almost every card has at least one damaged corner. Any idea of what to do? Just turn the hits back in? Hits were pretty decent for a single box.
