I'm gonna disagree. My numbered stuff did very well and master sets seem to be propped up longer than usual this year. If not for the price increase, I would have actually net made money on the case, which has never happened for me before. And my case was below average for sure (Best auto was Chuck Ragan followed by Andrew Jones /100 and RIP cards were all single rips.)

There is no more "feels like they are always" when referring to cards. That basically ended/started a steep decline in 2018 and now is officially gone.

Picked up a handful of autographs for the year.

Huge Seth Meyers fan so this was an easy snag:

God bless Reddit...

And my first Topps Employee autograph (courtesy of my cousin):

I get signing redemptions could take awhile...but how do they not have the T-shirt redemptions ready to go out right away?
A month later and no movement yet.

Has anyone seen a graded Tin Type yet? Or will any of the services grade them? Maybe just Auth?

Not sure why anyone would want to grade them, they look stunning on their own.

I saw a mention of set building so this is as good a place as any to ask this. I'm a long time 50s and 60s card collector (usually as a set builder because I can't help myself). I've collected little modern, but I like the black bordered minis. I'm looking to spend a little less and reconnect with current MLB, am I crazy for thinking I'd like to piece together the black bordered mini set? I used to think I wanted to do modern set building with Heritage but year in, year out aspects of Ginter speak to me. I realize there's not a lot of value here, but sometimes low stakes set building strictly for the fun of it appeals.

I could be wildly off base, but my personal experience may be of value to you. Before the Fanatics era, A&G was very much a collectors brand. Many folks (including myself) would open a case or more for themselves, often selling off what they didn’t want to keep, which for me was a great way to continue opening stuff. Back then, it wasn’t uncommon to see someone selling case’s worth of black minis (and items like this). However, as the hobby has evolved, there’s been enormous decentralization in product via box breaks, case breaks, etc. In these instances, as a buyer/set builder, a case worth of black minis is now scattered amongst a number of people/businesses. I write all this to say, if you like it, buy it. But it may be more of a challenge than it once was.

May want to look at the Allen & Ginter X minis. They are not heavily collected as sets so sometimes you can find very very good deals on lots on ebay. The rookies and mega stars will still present a challenge., Not every breakers ships base so those often sell of lots by the case or even greater quantities. The only issue with this is its not easy to sell off the duplicates.

That's valid. Thanks. I started off looking at the X minis and in years' past when I've pondered the same thing, I've thought of them. I think I prefer the appearance of the black mini parallels a little better, but it's not a tremendous difference.

Ah so you have one of the other ~5 PCA's. I own 5 myself. Always looking for more.

Let me know how it goes.

Has anyone seen Yadier Molina, Chan Ho Park or the Thurman Munson tintypes? Still don't have a visual on them.

Because they produce ten annually.

The kicker is that nine are kept to themselves.

If you even want to believe that they are true Dino relics.
