The older I get, the more I demand a more wholesome form of entertainment. Bad Bunny does nothing for me at this stage of my life. And this whole dress thing, does the NFL really want to align themselves with that? That's like having fat people model for Victoria's Secret.

Here's the thing, the NFL guy who thinks this is an acceptable image for the NFL to align with, the guy who is allowing this to happen, should be fired. I have a long list of companies I no longer give my money to. Many have made that list only recently, lol. Dominoes is the latest with the annoying treat yo self ads. UH-NOY-ING. I'd hate to have the NFL on that list but I'm afraid as time goes on, they're going to make it very hard to ignore the fact that it will become a league without grit and a warrior ethos. Think nickelodeon presentation as the full time go to broadcast style with female play by play announcers, pink uniforms, cross dressing singers and half time performers. To top it all off there's no more tackling the quarterback. It defies what football should be and how it should be presented.

Imagine the Marlboro Man wearing a bra while sitting on a horse. It wouldn't have become one of the more iconic marketing campaigns of the 20th century. The rugged, masculine, hard working man would not have gravitated to Marlboro cigarettes. (I always use this example because we covered it in marketing class when I was in college)

The NFL is basically unstoppable. The numbers are as strong as ever, and this is with the NFL being spread across several streaming networks. netflix/amazon/espn, etc....



NFL viewership is up 10% in 2025-26 compared to 2024, and this is with Mahomes being out of the playoffs.

People vowed to stop watching after Kapernick/BLM, etc....Ratings/numbers went up.




The NFL will survive Badbunny. He won't even be a blip.

The NFL has just set itself up so well. They've got the news cycles down to a T. It's by far the shortest season of the major sports, but it feels like it's always in the conversation. The time between the end of the Super Bowl and Opening Week is about 7 months. But during that time, you have:

Combine, Draft, OTAs, a little break, Training Camp, Preseason and before you know it, it's Labor Day and we're starting up again!

If the NFL can survive (and in fact, thrive!) after video of their players knocking women out cold and dragging them around, they can survive a bad halftime show.

There's a lot of old men shouting at clouds in here lol. Halftime is for going to the bathroom, refilling the cooler, ripping a dart, or if you're a Pats fan and this is your 10th one this century, going for a walk to calm down. The halftime show is to get people who may not be into the game to watch anyways. It's always the people who can least afford to spare the space that let politics take up so much real estate in their brains.

Problem is, I think it's going to cause a certain number of those who normally watch the game to not watch it.

This game lacks star power and is being played by two boring teams. Add a Spanish-speaking halftime performer who is politically polarizing, and you have the recipe for lower viewership totals.

A terrible half time show wasn’t enough, now they add in Green Day as an opening act. So the game opens with poser punks who hate Americans and at the half we get a non English speaking cross dresser who hates America. Does Ashton Kutcher pop out at the end to tell us we’ve all been punked? Because no one could seriously think this is a great idea? It’s more of a humiliation ritual.
