Bichette may have blown his chance to come here with his early Game 7 celebrating.

I don't want Bichette. I have a bad feeling he will be an Anthony Rendon type-signing for his next team.

Dodgers clear a roster spot by trading Esteury Ruiz to Marlins for a 18 year old pitching prospect.
Trade or Free agent signing coming?

I would guess they are getting out ahead of trading him while he was in DFA limbo whenever they make their next signing. He pretty clearly didn't have a spot, especially after Justin Dean won the speed / defensive replacement role last postseason.

I am ready for Tarik Skubal in Dodger Blue.
Seeing how he pitched in the postseason, I think the Dodgers will do everything to get him.

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers stocked up on infield depth on Friday, agreeing to terms with Andy Ibáñez on a one-year deal, according to several reports, including one from Francys Romero. The team, which hasn't confirmed the report, also claimed Ryan Fitzgerald off waivers from the Twins earlier in the day, meaning another transaction will be needed to add Ibáñez to the full 40-man roster.

You know the dodgers crunched the numbers and concluded this is a net+ profit move. Merchandising, super star halo (tucker being the halo), recruiting impact, playoff revenue, franchise value/equity, etc. What they say is true about taking money to make money.

The Dodgers were never going to sit on their hands this offseason and not make a big splash in free-agency or in the trade market -- they just won their second World Series in a row and are raking in the dough. They are in win-now mode. The 2027 season is tenuous and the new CBA will possibly limit the Dodgers' spending power -- they need to strike while the iron is hot.

That being said -- their lineup is relatively old. They didn't perform well offensively last postseason, with their bats looking sluggish at times. Their rotation is the main reason why they won it all -- that, and the Blue Jays choking. If you look back at the history of World Series winners, you rarely see lineups as old as the 2026 Dodgers' lineup. Tucker will make them a bit younger, but he had health issues each of the last two seasons and hasn't been reliable.

Also, the rest of the league loves it that the Dodgers are being so generous with their money, giving so much of it in CBA tax and generating league revenue in Japan.

They also have an insanely stacked farm with guys on the horizon to begin grooming at the big house as soon as next year. It would be shocking if a couple of them didn't pan out or become chips for young controlled starts. There is a plan at every level. It's unfair but in the sense they're playing Magnus-level chess in a Chinese checkers tournament.

Kyle Tucker will only play Two years in a Dodgers uniform and then opt out. That is why they signed him to a short term contract. Dodgers have Four young outfielders to replace Tucker and probably Teo. Freeman’s contract will be done by than too. Dodgers prospects will eventually replace their older players.

Hes not opting out of 60 million a year. Dodgers gave him that opt out knowing theres no realistic reason for him to use it.

Dude is getting paid, and paid enough to last him the rest of his life and leave generational wealth to his kids. $30 million a year after taxes. Live on $5-10 million, the rest goes into investments. Live large, live long.

I remain baffled, given the Dodgers seemingly unlimited financial resources, anyone that’s not in team ownership cares what the Dodgers spend. Not my money, and they aren’t limited, I couldn’t care less what they spend.

Got my Fanfest tix. Really wanted a Muncy/Smith meet and greet but those insta sold out before I could even get to the stage of adding it to the cart as did Edman/Kim, Snell/Sheehan, Sasaki, and Banda/Scott (this one will be the torta epicenter of the universe). Most of the autos are still available except for Graterol and Klein. I got Sheehan and Klein sessions...I have a 2025 World Series ball for Klein to sign. I was at game 3 and that was really something else. They aren't supposed to inscribe stuff but I'll see if I can get him to inscribe "Game 3 WP" or "Game 3 4 shutout innings" or something. Some have inscribed stuff in the past for me.

The complete CF last year is keeping people away I think. Some are complaining about price, but tickets start at $28 and the autos are $53. The $28 is pretty inexpensive for how popular the Dodgers are (it would be utter madness if they did not do this) and the autos are cheaper for a legit roster player on a WS team than you will see anywhere else.

If anyone is going to Dodgerfest, Glasnow was added to the regular auto lineup. Be careful when buying, mine kept defaulting to Alex Call until I signed in before adding the player.
