This isn’t to defend comcs business practices. I couldn’t care less what comc deems fit in that regard. What I am concerned about is my choices. What I can do regarding the situation. And that part is abundantly clear. I can buy or not buy on comc.

But complaining about numbers everyone knows are cooked? I don’t get it.

Bottom line is comc’s attitude is “we’ll ship when we feel like it and you consumer can suck it”. Choose or not choose to patronize them knowing that’s the situation.

Was unaware we needed your permission to be upset about a company's customer service. I'll pm and ask next time. Thanks

If the cards to be shipped home to you were purchased by selling cards on COMC, you should absolutely be happy they (by necessity) prioritize eBay shipping. Otherwise you wouldn’t have sold as many cards on COMC &/or you would have had to step up and DIY.

Wow, I have to give them some credit. Yesterday they moved my ship date to 3/4 and there were 471k cards ahead of me. Today my order shipped. Pretty crazy.

That's what I meant about the estimated shipping dates being virtually meaningless.

Just out of curiousity, how complex was your order?

This was a small one -- only 6 cards.

And that's probably why it shipped faster than estimated.....it was relatively easy and quick for COMC to pull the cards.

I hope that happens to me as well. Requested 12/23 and said my ship date would be 1/23. Just updated today with a ship date of 3/14 with 537k still in front of me. I have about 70 cards in the shipment.

Probably jinxing myself, but mine was 12/26 and still is holding to the 1/27 date with 549K ahead. 26 card shipment.

(I honestly don't mind; I ordered like 180 cards, most of them base / commons. Of course I'd love to have them in hand, and sure I'd love to get them sooner, but I probably saved* a bunch of bucks by going through them)

*okay, a lot of these I wouldn't have purchased if they weren't easily available on COMC, but sure I'll spend an 33 cents to pick up that 1993 Kenny Lofton
yeah so the order I placed in mid-December had a January 26th ship date originally

now it's not going to come until early March

so instead of Merry Christmas it'll be Happy St Patty's Day

There's a rumor going around that COMC is going to be out of business by Q2 2026. I'm in the process of trying to pull move all of my cards from there.

Interesting video here:

Oh no. That's terrible. I really do find them to be quite convenient (shipping times notwithstanding)

Any reputable sources? Or just random social media posters?

To summarize, ThoseBackPages heard from a "reliable" (yet anonymous) source that COMC will close in the second quarter and posted a Tweet. Four COMC employees replied to the Tweet saying they had been laid off. Two of the posters didn't actually work for COMC after all. Junk Wax Hero estimates that the two employees (are they?) who were laid off were two of over 200 employees. So...all baseless rumors on the internet.

A company that can't keep up with the overwhelming number of cards submitted to them, then sold on their platform or eBay, and a massive shipping backlog is going out of business? Social media does strange things to people's logic.

He talks about the recent layoffs and thinks it is just normal business restructuring. He buys and sells on COMC, so he hopes and thinks it will be fine.

He then spends the last half of the video showing off Boston Red Sox refractor cards that he just got back from COMC.

thanks guys. I totally forgot about the ebay partnership.

And again before they go out of business every company in the industry would try to acquire them.

If TBP ends up being correct about this he should become absolutely insufferable.

I have submitted some cards to COMC to sell and I still have a positive balance. I did not pull any of my cards or funds.

If TBP is wrong, I am wondering if he will give a formal apology?

Now a million card shipping backlog on COMC. They are still working through requests from November when the backlog was under 600k. Either pay for expedited shipping or wait until Independence Day to get your stuff.

requested 12/8/2025

estimated ship date 3/3/2026

luckily these are all PC items so i'm strangely okay with this other than the fact that i'm excited to have them in hand one day in a galaxy far, far away.

If fulfillment is this slow, what's their speed on adding new inventory?

I have only bought, always with expedited (except for one time on a large order and it literally killed me), and never sold.
