It’s probably not fair that we give Eastbay a load of grief for flipping infant formula for profit.
I mean, it’s no different than his hoarding of new sealed card boxes (a product he doesn’t use) to resell to desperate customers like breakers, right? Though I can’t be sure he doesn’t sample the infant formula himself for his gastric colic issues….. |

Then the hobby underwent a massive transformation, completely forgot about him and he hasn't been the same ever since. Although it's sad that he's perma-fussy and aggressive towards anyone who continues to enjoy the hobby, simply because he no longer can, I still feel for the guy (or gal, sometimes it's unclear). |

Unfortunately fanatics has made this hobby so colicky for you in the current pricing environment. It’s no wonder you are pumping gentlease. How else could you fund your “collection”? |

It’s clear you don’t understand the difference between pumping to resell versus showing off your collection to keep.

I guess its good to know that in general 99.99% of cards people can sell with no regrets. So the odds are in your favor for selling your cards.

PC: Jose Ramirez Rookie Auto Topps Chrome
Just for profit: Ohtani Regret not selling earlier: Gold Acuna RC PSA 10 when they were going for about $4k, sold for $500 (I pulled it myself)

The only baseball card I can specifically say I wish I never sold is this Mike Trout Gold Prizm /25 which if I recall correctly, I sold graded for about $150 back in 2015
Ironically, if I really wanted to (I don't) I could probably get the same card for roughly the same price now.

Been two in the last 4-5 years.
1. I found about 15 of the Target 2018 Topps Baseball Complete Sets (including a few all star versions) in the Atlanta area back in 2019. Paid $40-$50 each. I sold them for about $100 each around 4 years ago. They avg $400+ now. 2. 20+ Michael Jordan psa 10s over the last 2-3 years. No autos, but I should’ve kept them all. Like I sold a 98 Gold Label psa 10 for $80. Now it’s like $700+

Wow... that's a huge mistake. I collect Jordan PSA 10s... not just cause he's my all time fav, but his 10s are going to continue to rise. I would start to re-collect those, if I were you, and just hoard them for decades... imo.

The MJs I sold were mass produced like ultra and hoops, but still.

My hand collated 1970 complete set - partially containing +/- 200 cards I had kept from when I bought packs as a kid in 1970. Sold too cheap at a show just so I could have a "profitable" show. Yeah, it's just cardboard, but still....

I got a promotion at work just before Christmas 2013, and I splurged on 3 cases of 2013 BDPP. IIRC, I was enamored with Glasnow, Clint Frazier, and JP Crawford.
Opened it all, saved all the hits/parallels/etc, and put the “bulk” in a couple large boxes to sit. I ended up moving the following April… so I donated the “bulk” to the local boys & girls club. Since Judge wasn’t on my radar in April 2014 - all of the paper and chrome base were donated. I would guess around 60 paper, 35 chrome, and 15-20 inserts. Sold raw today - I think that’s around $10k…. Donated. Saving grace were the Judge parallels and a black Judge auto (9.5/10) that I still have… but giving away that “bulk” stings in retrospect. |

I feel your pain dude. We've all given away or sold things we regret. The only alternative is to keep everything you ever buy until all the player's life cycles have come and gone, and that can take 10-15 years and lots of time/attention.
