So from yesterday's trash discussion, I found something interesting out. Someone new to the neighborhood made a post on the neighborhood Facebook site asking when trash day was. I guess they didn't have nice previous owners like us who wrote all of that information out and left it for us.

The neighborhood is actually divided into two zones. The zone we live in receives trash pickup twice a week on Monday and Thursday. The other zone only receives trash pickup on Wednesday. That seems weird since the neighborhood isn't that huge that the truck couldn't do it all in one day. I also wonder if those people with one day a week trash pay the same amount of HOA fees as us?

I put a request in for my vitamin d to be refilled and the doctor said I needed blood work first. Got that taken care of right away. Perfect time if the day to go. I was the only person requesting lab work. Then, I picked up some fresh bread for soup and salad night. Soup is in the crockpot, smelling wondeful.

When little Boo was in early elementary school, my parents had a birthday for me at McDonalds. They had a sweet ride like this...no wood trim but green. It was one of those that in the back, you would pull up the "floor" and it would make more seats (found a pic).

So I invited a bunch of friends and we all piled in the station wagon. We got to McDonalds (it had one of those old school playgrounds), everyone started eating and one of my friends blew chunks everywhere, including all over himself. We had to ride home smelling the puke, not good. One of many reason McDonalds (and by extension, cornhole) sucks.

I mean, sure, back in '63, it was. Heck, even as an 80's kid it was still somewhat reasonable to consider it a treat.

Today? No. Not even close. There aren't many (if any) that are well maintained. The "service" does not exist. The food? A small step up from raiding the grocery store dumpsters for expiring tomorrow produce...
