"Did McKee show enough to be a starter in the NFL?
Credit has to be given to McKee, as he played with mostly backups outside of DeVonta Smith and Tyler Steen(for the 1st qtr). The fact that the offense produced over 300 yards and held a 17-10 lead in the fourth quarter is pretty impressive.
One big knock on McKee in the game was the accuracy. There were a lot of balls that fell to the ground and didn't hit the necessary targets, and his interception was more about him and Jahan Dotson not being on the same page.
It's tough to be so critical of McKee when he was stuck with all the backups around him. Under the circumstances of what he was in, he wasn't bad at all. He wasn't overly impressive as well.
Philly might not be getting a first-round pick for his services, but they will be getting calls in the offseason about bringing him in via trade. Whether the Eagles are willing to get rid of him is another question; that might be too tough a call to make with his knowledge of the offense"

260 and a TD is his worst career game, that's not bad- and the pick is clearly a case of him and Dotson not being on same page.

The one take away is that McKee is NOT mobile, but we already knew that and have said that all along. Pure pocket passer material

There is zero chance that will be his worst game. Be realistic. He can be a starter, but he will have worse days, even with non-backups.

After reading the earlier parts of this thread...

What is the strategy here? To buy up 3rd-7th round QBs who are clear back-ups in the hopes that they become some form of Matt Flynn and then immediately flip them if they ever become starters?

There's just absolutely no way everyone who began this didn't hemorrhage money.

Well most of us bought dirt cheap so....hemorrhage money would be spending thousands and thousands on the TLaws, Herberts, etc- the guys that haven't done anything but cost a fortune.

And for someone that is amazed and shocked by all the McKee posts, you seem hell bent on being part of the conversation
