Heading into the playoffs, this thread should be at the top of the front page.

Never before has the path for Allen and the Bills been more clear.

-No Mahomes
-No Burrow
-No Lamar.

A path through the AFC that's likely to be Jacksonville, Denver, and whoever makes it out the other side of the bracket.

This is the biggest opportunity for Allen to play Superman and will his team to the Super Bowl. If he does, he solidifies himself as the 2nd best QB of his generation (for now, anyways). If not, you've gotta believe there will be changes in Buffalo.

Personally, I'm pulling for him to come through and win the AFC. If he does, I'm guessing it'll be in large part from some spectacular play on his part.

Should be a fun watch

I agree, this is a big postseason for his legacy. If he pulls through he becomes the second best. If he loses before the AFC Championship, their head coach might lose his job and the window may be shut. The Bills will have failed Josh Allen and wasted his prime

I don’t think there much of a chance for Buffalo. Defence is terrible. Yes josh Allen is probably the best QB in the playoffs but he’s banged up with a foot injury. They might not have a kicker for the first round
The WR are an average at best, run game is great. But we are going up against one of the best Run D in the Jags.
Things need to change in Buffalo, I think it starts with the HC.

Thirded. The two top seeds in the AFC have QBs without playoff experience. I get the Bills defense isn't very good. I just get the feeling if the Bills don't make it this year than his chances of ever making it are slim. Next year will be his age 30 season. Still young, but his style will cause injuries to pile up. I still fear a Cam Newton like arc. Superman one year, blown shoulder/knee/whatever the next, and suddenly average.

Matt Stafford looks pretty good over 30. What’s different from Stafford on the Lions vs. Rams. Coaching is the biggest reason for his success.
Stafford had prime Calvin Johnson and couldn’t even sniff a playoff.

As long as McDermott is the HC Josh Allen won’t win a SB.

I agree with this, if they don't make the SB McDermott is gone. New stadium next year, new coach and a revamped team to take advantage of Allen's remaining peak years.

My fear is Beane Keeps McDermott. Which I think happens regardless of what happens in the playoffs.
I don’t see any great HC candidates, unless Mike Tomlin gets fired.

I agree Stafford success is going from crap org/coaching to good one. Stafford doesn't tuck the bull, run, and lower his shoulder into linebackers. I have seen Allen take on a lot of unneeded contact.

True, two different body types as well. Stafford would break if he tried to run like Allen.
Allen as been taking on a little less contact lately but this is also what makes him “Superman”
It’s easier to lower your shoulder into a linebacker when you’re built like one.

Beane and McDermott are a package deal, if one goes both go and I don't think Pegula is ready to make that move...

Sports Radio in WNY yesterday was very heavy on McDermott being out IF they lose this weekend to Jacksonville.

If there were better candidates out there, maybe... But there isn't... You're not gonna trade multiple division titles and 12-5 records for Tomlin and his 9-8 record every year...

They need to leave next offseason with a true #1 either by trade, free agency or the draft... Keon is a bust, time to move on and spend some money...

With all due respect. How many Superbowls have McDermott made? How Many Superbowls have Tomlin made and won?

I’ll take a chance with a winning record coach that’s won a SuperBowl.

Josh Allen is either the #2 or #3 QB of his generation already, regardless of their postseason outcome this year.

Everyone knows their team is mid. The team they had from ~2021-2024 is now all but gone. That's not Joshy's fault, it's the team's. If they can beat the Jags in the first round, I'd consider it a successful year for them, considering their roster. I'd be a magical run if they can pull it off, but Josh and J. Cook can only drag a roster of 53 men so far.

Yes, it is what makes him special. Newton was about the same size. He blew out his throwing shoulder and was basically done. I don't want to see Allen start missing half a season from preventable injuries. Now is the time to start transitioning into a more pocket QB so he can play effectively into his late 30's. I would start that this off season. This post season is his to take and maybe his best chance, so no holding back this year.

I also wonder if it’s true that other NFL teams don’t want to trade with Buffalo. In aiding them to get a better roster.
I wonder if it’s a Beane issue that other GM’s don’t like him.

As a Patriots fan, Buffalo is the one team I'd be nervous to face in the AFC.

I feel like you are all being way too harsh on the coach. They have terrible WRs. How can you not blame the GM? They still are great every year despite not having a #1 or even #2 WR. This year definitely showed more than last.
