Yes but to say he should start over Jalen Hurts is over now. Jalen is clearly a better quarterback and player

I need an informed take.
I sold McKee stuff leading up to the game at increased prices. After the game, I reduced prices and still sold stuff. That tells me people are still into him.
If he went off, obviously prices would have stayed elevated.

Some very high end card $10,000+ have been reduced today by 25%

Admittedly McKee did not have a good game. He made a few bad throws (and a couple were good to throw them away and not force a pick) He explained in the press conference about the pick. He did not throw as accurately as he did at every turn leading up to this game, so I am going to brush it off as a bad game the only one he has had in pre season or regular season

The scrambling ability of Hurts would have helped in yesterday's game because that O line was terrible- there was pressure on every single dropback. This is exactly his situation in college he had the worst O line in football and was hit and sacked non stop. From a clean pocket he's completely a different looking QB.

I can sum it up with this- since coming into the league in both pre season and post season (always with #2 weapons don't forget) he is 147 of 241 passing (60%) for 1596 yards, 8TDS to 2 picks. On 241 passes he has 8 TDS to only 2 picks. The 8 TD to 2 Picks is what I am keying on.

This is all an honest assessment from a McKee fan

Was a mixed bag. Some were blaming WRs but I saw him make some bad reads and throws. He would have looked way better with the starters but have to make the best of your opportunities

Yeah but it was in mop up duty and against teams tanking in 2024. Commanders played some guys and it’s why he struggled. Still a backup at this point. Will need to show more

Why the 50% markdown if you're a believer long-term?

How can pre-season be an honest assessment? You have this frequent ability to use meaningless stats in order to justify an opinion.

The reality is that there are no stats at this point for Tanner McKee that matter. His NFL stats all come from meaningless final games of the season. The only thing you can do to gauge McKee is to look at the tape. He was very uneven throughout the game and struggled with decision-making and making certain throws. He's a solid backup, but his chances at being a starter get slimmer and slimmer as more QB's get picked in each draft moving forward. I could see him getting a chance to start for a team in need, but it won't be based on what they saw against the Commanders.

5.7% TD percentage. He took a massive hit. Math is wild

All this jibber-jabber over a presumptive career back-up QB

Wild stuff

I’m a believer in making Money and recouping money over everything else and when season is over card sales drop trying to move them now

It’s relevant it’s backups against backups. And actually this season the Bengals starters played against the eagles backups and McKee was very good in that one

I don’t care. In all levels of competition that’s what I’m going by. Against number 2 defenses he looked good. Against number ones he looked good.

McKee has played in 4 regular season games.

Game #1 against Cowboys 2024 looked good with starters
Game #2 against Giants 2024 looked good with backups
Game #3 against Raiders in mop up really just handed ball off for 5 min
Game #4 his worst still threw for 260 and a TD with Backups

In 4 regular season games he has 5 TD 1 pick and that’s a very good ratio

24/43 274 Yards 55.8 Comp % 1 TD 1 INT 73.2 Passer Rating 26.2 QBR

Back-up QB numbers

edit: nvm you are looking at his overall career stats

I know of two both in $3000-$4000 range

At the end of the day what’s the difference between spending thousands of dollars on McKee or thousands on TLaw or Herbert? Those guys have won what McKee has - Nothing. No league titles. No MVPs. No trophies

You got a link or something to prove the sales?

The main difference is Tanner isn’t a starter?
