You were the first person that posted moments after the record and brought up diving. Which made me go “oh no, hopefully it was a clean sack and not questionable” … and then I went to see a replay and saw the same thing you did. You brought up diving for a reason seconds after the play. You weren’t responding to other accusations. It’s kind of a lame “sack” to get the record on. Especially in this day and age when everyone has money gambling on outcomes.

According to @NextGenStats, Myles Garrett had a get-off of 0.23 seconds on his record-breaking sack.

To put that in context, his average get-off is 0.70 sec, which leads the league.

That's the fastest time recorded by any player on any sack this year.

Absolute alien.

If someone has to make 20 posts (and counting) pleading for people to believe it was a legit sack...

.... then it wasn't a legit sack.

It's a legit sack on the stat sheet.

For context on this absurd Myles Garrett stat: when Usain Bolt set the world record in the 100-yard dash in Beijing in 2008, his get-off time was .165 seconds.

Right. And he even had to make that argument IN HIS VERY FIRST POST MOMENTS AFTER THE PLAy. Like before anyone even said anything he brought it up’. And then all I did was respond to his post and he calls me and you “morons”. Like why name call? I’m not name calling. You aren’t name calling. It’s the guy that brought up diving in the first place seconds after the sack that is resorting to juvenile name calling.

Snaps required for each sack record:

Myles Garrett (23): 437
TJ Watt (22.5): 616
Michael Strahan (22.5): 567

1. It’s obvious the Bengals or Joe gave him the snap count.

2. It’s obvious there was an agreement that Joe would dive and Myles would not hurt him.

3. Get Myles out of The Mistake By The Lake.

He could've done that himself, but chose the money instead.

The sack record is official.

Now it's just a matter of if he plays long enough and stays healthy enough to catch Bruce Smith.

The Defensive End records he's chasing, and where he's at currently (making obvious presumptions for this year):

Sacks: 200 (currently at 125.5)
1st Team all pros: 8 (Currently at 5)
DPOY: 3 (Currently at 2)

Too much worry about his sacks.

I know this has been going around. But I think its more of an indictment to Garrett. As it just shows how important TJ and Strahan were to their D's.

Myles got to come in fresh off the bench in obvious passing situations. Where as TJ & Mike were out there battling most downs to help their teams. They weren't sitting on the bench playing specialist. They were plugging runs and doing their jobs.

Or was the Browns D just that good?

Sounds more of an indictment against Pittsburgh and New York if we are playing that game
