Had a nice time watching the Eagles game at my BFF and goddaughters house last night. My cousin is literally there next door neighbor. His wife came over with their kids and I got to hang out with them for a bit. I was the cool aunt who brought gifts for everyone. $2 bills and football cards. Gave my goddaughter her Christmas gift. Got to chat with my BFFs husband for a bit. We have worked together twice and shared an office at both places. Their basement is totally redone and has some amazing Eagles fan stuff all around.

Made Breakfast for the family; scrambled eggs and bacon
Made the bed (might make the kids beds, too soon)
packed lunches for L and Mr JD
chatted with my mom for a bit about my nanny and things I can help her with when I go down on Tuesday and Thursdays
Cleaned the kitchen really well
made fresh squeezed OJ
organized and put away the tuperware
cleaned the bathroom back up
fed the cat
refreshed the hermit crabs water and food
washed 1 load of clothes
washing a 2nd load currently
researched and ordered the vacuum replacement part we need. A dropped the vacuum yesterday and it broke.
researched and ordered a new water pic
Listened to a motivational speaker

Need to bottle that energy and sell it. Because that's a lot! Well done.

Do too much too fast and then you’ll be sitting there looking at the house twiddling your thumbs. Then all you’re left with are big projects that cost tons of money. I did that last year.

I will probably end up doing that. A lot of stuff needs organized so I plan on doing that. I also want to re-paint a couple of rooms. I am trying to pick a color for our main bathroom. Right now it is a custom darker pink my mom and I made.

Do you have the hookups or would that need to be done?

That would need done as well. Right now, we have a portable dishwasher but only wash plates, bowls and silveware in it. We wash everything else by hand.

We got quotes last year but had an immediate need pop up that took precedent. Our furnace debacle of 2025. One plumber said running the pipes would be very difficult and quoted us at $1600 just for the plumbing work. Another, who was super young, was like "this will be super easy" and quoted us at $450.

Videotronics have no value whatsoever.

Cards at least teach how to care for and be responsible for investments.

Not true. They would attempt to feed him only veggies. I'm not sure which, but his body would either go comatose due to his body not being able to digest veggies or he would go completely "Hulk Smash" and escape on his own.

She told him she no longer wanted it and drove off.
Actually, I don't blame her one bit. However there are people that are stupid enough to just get the tenders and pay the extra.

Obviously you have no idea what original games and game systems from the 1980s and 1990s can cost in great condition with boxes.

I wish I had 1/10th the energy you do.

I have come to the conclusion that I am sitting way too far away from the tv (a 42 inch) the few times I watch it. To that end, I am looking at rearranging the living room so that I can get my recliner closer to the tv. When I moved in here, my sister and b-i-l gave me an old 2-piece sectional of theirs as they wanted to upgrade. That is closer to the tv, but is not as comfortable as my recliner. I have not cleaned under the sectional since I moved in here, so I am curious to see what kind of cards and such have fallen underneath. I think I have figured out a way to move things around so that the sectional and recliner will fit in a "U" around the tv. It will be tight, but aside from my home care nurse, nobody ever comes here. I have started the process of cleaning around the sectional but need to stop now. I go see the shoulder doctor later this morning then will head over by my parents (probably go out to lunch) and figure out how they want to rearrange things in their place (where I got the idea...thanks mom ) Theirs is far more complicated seeing as how my dad lives in his small bedroom and my mom lives in the living room and only sleeps in her large bedroom. They want to switch bedrooms. That is where I come in. My sonny-do list just got way bigger.

Anyhoo, I am hoping to have the move in my living room by Wednesday, depending on my energy. So far, so good this morning, but we will see how much I have left when I get home later this afternoon.

I know, I know...TL;DR...

For me, sometimes I struggle to get out of bed, so to me that is a bunch of energy expended. Yesterday was one of those days. Today I feel good.

I see my eye doctor later this month. I may need new glasses but you have to remember that I have had cataracts in both eyes, retina detachments in both eyes and have glaucoma with a blind spot in my left eye. So yes, I am getting older with real eye issues

Not complaining about it. That is just the way it is.
