Obviously there must have been other things that went the Chiefs way that made the game as close as it was that had very little to do with the quarterback.
Again, that is the point.

Maybe the roster isn’t as bad as has been claimed.

Sucks the way this season ended, but the bright side of this is that it's exposed how much this offense is missing playmakers or any semblance of a running game. Denver, Tennessee... didn't matter.. .the last 2 weeks the Chiefs offense has failed to reach 140 yards. Maybe the most disappointing part of it is that Xavier Worthy, working ideally as the team's #1 threat this week... had just 1 yard of offense. Doesn't seem like he's more than a piece part.

Drafting somewhere near pick 10, this offseason will be a chance to add a few guys that touch the ball. A chance to reevaluate the offensive structure, and a 3rd place schedule will be helpful too.

Ohhh well. While it sucks to not have Chiefs postseason this year, I guess it's what happens when you have an unprecedented streak of drafted 32nd for 3 years in a row. If the window is closed for now, at least there's 3 Super Bowl wins this decade to show for it.

True, you’re clearly not good at football analysis. Patty blindness syndrome.

I’m not like the others on this board that get wrapped up in this little “bit” you do.

You know I’m right. Mahomes wasn’t good this year. Doesn’t make him a bad QB, just a good QB who had a bad year.

This is the lowest for the foreseeable future …injured , regressed, no playoff etc…imo it always comes down to what cards you have ..if it’s a easily replaceable card, then those will fluctuate…his most desired stuff are tough to get at a discounted price

Even a Prizm camo auto sold for 44k…crazy for a sticker auto

Not a Mahomes' fan, but I blame Chiefs' management for his injury. It was clear the Chiefs were going nowhere this year. Should have shut him down, seeing his knee was already hurt.

Nah, Brady never missed a game outside of his knee exploding and his air huffing timeout.

If you want to be compared to the best you have to earn it.

Granted a lot of starters were out …but overall chiefs are a terrible team..mahomes hasn’t been stellar also but he was carrying a lot for the team…meanwhile Andy Reid has been there all along ..for all those folks that say he is a mastermind that designs “open” guys And makes Mahomes and not the other way around…I’m a firm believer it’s Both coach and qb (but more so qb)

Not where we wanted to be at all this year. Going to be so weird to not have them in the playoffs. The only silver lining for me is that the next 4 weeks are going to be stress free lol.

coach is important, but a star QB is certainly more valuable than any coach

IMO, they both need each other.

If Mahomes went to Chicago instead of KC, he'd have 0 SBs.
If Mahomes went to Chicago instead of KC, Ried would have 0 SBs.

It's the marriage between the QB/coach that determines their success.

Fans always want to trade down and get multiple picks. The trick is you need a team to want to trade up. Nine might be a good spot, they are not drafting a QB. Teams ahead of them are, and that just moves down all the talent in other positions. Chiefs can pick up an A+ dlineman or olineman. The mocks have them picking up Love. They should have some really good players available. I would keep pick and draft a guy who will plug in right away.

Reaching for a RB at #9 would be tragic.

That kid, Love, from ND is nice, but he's not Adrian Peterson or something.

Even if he was Peterson who cares, it would still be a god awful pick. RB just isn't that valuable of a position and you can find studs in the 30s-50s, there's zero reason to blow a premium pick anymore on that position. I'd also include inside LB the mirror of that as well.

The Chiefs need an OL or WR there, BPA.

Whoever the fastest WR is at nine.

Probably, my vote would be to pick up a stud Dlineman to replace Jones. I don't like picking WRs that high either. Good ones seem to be always available. I am always looking to upgrade the trenches no matter what though.

I don't think it's as easy as it seems. They have not had a stud RB in 5 years. They desperately need a playmaker at RB. Maybe it ends up being Brashard Smith if they actually play him, but I doubt it.

Tried this already with Xavier Worthy. Although, I do blame Patrick from some of his woes as he missed Worthy on 60 yard TDs about 3 or 4 times this year.

I hear Nagy is up for the Titans job. Dear god please let him leave.
