I don’t own any Maye cards, and last night was the first I’d seem him play. Gotta say - I thought he looked really good. I can’t speak to whether the Ravens are a defensive juggernaut, but Maye made that offense look really good with (no offense to them) Diggs, Hollins, Stevenson, and Henry - not exactly A1 caliber weapons

While he looked amazing yesterday (against a really bad D)and has a great season, I still don't think he's MVP because of Stafford playing at the same level or better against much better teams.

That being said, the appearance- the storyline of the Pats, "finally having their next franchise QB after Tom Brady, so good he's MVP quality" is a good narrative to push. But then again, so is "Stafford after a great career, goes out on top with his best season winning it all and playing MVP level"

Maye, could still win the MVP considering the Pats may have the #1 seed in the AFC and the Rams could be the 5th seed in the NFC. Ranking matters to a lot of voters.

Somebody made a good point the other day. Drake Maye's strength of defenses played is higher than Stafford. Then you have Stafford with better personnel around him. Maye has a higher QBR, higher rating, better completion percentage oh and he played most of his games OUTSIDE. Stafford played most of his games INSIDE.
