I see the design on 1990 Impel Marvel Universe, still the greatest Superhero set of all-time, has made it into, of all places, the new set based on the Amazon Prime series, "The Boys".

Hah…interesting. I guess with UD losing the Marvel license..start putting anything on this.

Such a great design though- never gets old.

It's funny that they didn't even know which way it was supposed to be oriented, so one is rotated 90-degrees.

This is baseball, but there is enough nonsports crossover that I’ll post it here. Picked up the uncut sheets of the 96 Metal baseball base set.

What other baseball cards have Ripken in front of lava, Jeter out in the galaxy, Hideo Nomo in front of a volcano, and Piazza and Heathcliff Slocumb in some weird futuristic alien environment, haha. Metal was the best…this is peak 90s etched foil awesomeness.

And a platinum parallel sheet to go with it,

Awesome pick-ups, Dyna.

It could be argued that '96 Metal baseball is a hybrid of sports and non-sports -- the in-house artists at Marvel apparently did the artwork, after all.

I had no idea the Marvel artists did the art…that’s very interesting. No wonder I like them so much with the comic style backgrounds. It does make sense considering Marvel owned Fleer at the time I think.

The metal sets of the mid 90s were so nice, across all the sports (and of course 95 Marvel Metal itself- wish I had the sheets for that!).

Note: "2nd and Charles" has plenty of non-sport trading card product like Disney Chrome but it’s priced too high.

Lids (a baseball cap shop in many US malls) has similar stuff there too. Topps seems to be expanding out a bit into new retailers.

I'll just drop these sales here without comment.
Someone is dumping blanks.

Interesting... I had a lady here in my small(ish, I guess, 80k~ people) town who had a TON of blank Marvel sketches on eBay. I ended up buying one and tried to get her to tell me where she got them...just because I was curious. No dice, she wouldn't say. The oddest part about it is that she literally sold nothing else that was even in the same genre, like at all... She had probably close to 50-80 blanks listed though...

I think UD now puts different number codes on the backs of each sketch block they send to each artist so it’s likely this could be easily traced back to artist and small claims court.

I can’t make this up. I was randomly at Walmart picking up groceries at 8:30 AM. There was more than a half dozen collectors queuing up in the card aisle, waiting for the card man to restock. How the heck do they even know to be waiting?

I attended the FLIP trading card show in Huntsville. Highlight was a guy dropping off a signed Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Frank Oz trading card with JSA. Someone accidentally found the non-sports holy grails.

I have no idea which is the "best" but The Great Houses is out now. Often it is best to grab the current product because you pay retail price instead of paying aftermarket prices on previous releases.
