Total odd request but trying to identify sock......
Below is a picture of a sock, long story short I have someone that wants more of this exact same style for Christmas but they have no idea on what the subname is from Adidas.

I think you’d need to search vintage adidas on Google or eBay to try to find. My guess it will be tough to find the exact match.
Here’s an eBay auction for vintage 80’s white socks with blue logo… that are also not ankle socks. So not a match but the logo style and two stripes are similar so your elderly family members socks are probably around the same age. Good luck! https://www.ebay.com/itm/11673373004...Bk9SR9qjtMreZg |

What would a detective do if they found that sock at a crime scene?
Contact Adidas directly and send them a photo of the sock. I'm sure somebody can help you out.
