I was seriously going to buy a box this year and actually open it. But, what in the world? $400 for essentially 3 cards?

Anybody have any clue when update sapphire is coming out? They used to give us a heads up that the release emails are coming the next t day, but they stopped that. I missed bowman chrome sapphire bc I didn’t see email for 6 hours, and they said “sold out.” Not trying to do that for update.

How they’re running things this year just give me vibes of either them discontinuing this after this year or it’s just not going to be worth it to join. I guess not unique to Montgomery club. It’s just more of the same: they care less and less about long time collectors and more and more about breakers/gamblers. That’s a fine business practice until it’s not and the economy goes to crap. Once they lose collectors, it’s going to be hard to get them back. It took the pandemic to supercharge that last time.

Brooklyn collection was my favorite set. Shorter auto checklist. The cards had really good QC. They looked sharp. If that was cancelled, I'm sad. Last year, I got a Yamamoto, Acuna, and Koufax auto out of 3 boxes.
