Will they even reveal what the encased card could be before the EQL? The only semi-kinda-maybe justification for that ungoshly price is guaranteed encased auto.

It's a trap! If it's loaded you will have almost zero chance to win EQL. If it's mass produced overpriced and destined to perform poorly everyone will win EQL.

Why bother? It's going to instantly sell out.

I meant why would Topps bother revealing the encased card?

If they put out a "mystery" set - with literally no knowledge of what it could be, they'd still make a mint. Every new set with new pricing we sit here in amazement of how fast it all goes.

This set looks like absolute crap and it's priced so high. Feels like I'm taking crazy pills

Hopefully some people will rip this so I can buy singles.

Looking at the Larry the Cable Guy auto, that card reminds me of the street clothes autographs we get in Goodwin Champions.

The checklist is massive! And with 9 cards per box at that price point, it's absolute madness.

So is Homer Simpson I don’t see Dan Castellaneta autos going for a grip lol a big name supersedes a big character, the best being when a big name PLAYS a big character.

These will sell for a lot just cause it’s Topps but a Tow Mater LTCB auto would not be popular even to kids otherwise BUT people will convince themselves Topps X Licensed=money so

I don't know, Dan's Simpsons Inkworks autos go for quite a bit:

EBAY 1

EBAY 2

But think about it - you're buying a Disney set. Would you rather have a card showing Larry the Cable Guy, or Tow Mater? Would you rather see Billy Crystal, or Mike Wazowski?

So wait, you put in for an EQL, won, and now you don't want them because you won?

Right, total misread on my part and ofc you're right. When I got back into cards a few years ago with SW products I never could have imagined I'd be priced out of hobbys altogether by Fanatics aiming all these releases directly at whale gamblers.

They can get away with that for any novelty release with a popular brand and characters. But what happens with the second or third iteration? Topps products are very redundant. It's not a detriment to sports products due to the annual batch of new players. But with legacy characters like from Pixar, it will get old fast.

Pretty good imo, no idea why they lead with the names or card previews they did lol not keeping up with all the new Topps stuff but the duals alone look great not sure how many sets have dupe duals though.

The Topps ripped article for Pixar Gold claims that Tom Holland and Chris Pratt have a dual autograph in gold. Weirdly that’s not on the checklist and they aren’t on the marvel checklist either. Granted Pixar Gold is also missing Owen Wilson which is odd considering he’s signing in marvel.
