Agreed, The only thing is we don’t know whether a new ownership would be better or worse.

Jazz Chisholm is getting married. I wonder if that will settle his attitude down at all.

Why would you want Jazz to settle his attitude down!? Attitude is everything, and the perpetually blasé Yankees need as much of it as they can get.

His constant arguing and questioning umpires on what seems like every ball called against him gets old every game. I'd rather seem him put that energy into actually hitting better than .242 with more Ks than hits.

I doubt it. His destiny with the Yankees is predictable. His outbursts will continue and his schtick will grow increasingly unpopular. He will depart the Yankees with gripes and how he was treated unfairly. Go to the next team and flash signs of greatness but never really achieving it.

You mean not having a 3B, SS, LF, mult SPs and RPs is more important?

I could see the Mets panic and snag Belli after losing Nimmo and Alonso. Fangraphs currently has Carson Benge (prospect) and Tyrone Taylor at CF on their depth chart.

Cashman should be prepared to pivot.

I really wouldn't want to give bellinger a huge contract. He's been too inconsistent over his career, his defense is great, but his analytics show his bat wasn't that great.

Yea it's really tricky to pinpoint his value from a $$$ standpoint. Last year was great but we've seen what his floor looks like and what if that happens again? GMs are probably very reluctant.

I think its good Tucker is out there too, so all the money doesnt go to Bellinger. Less chance of a bidding war.

I hope the Yankees get stuck with Bellinger.

I really wish you were a Red Sox fan. Your hatred of the Yankees is much better than the Red Sox fans on BO when it comes to the supposed longest baseball rivalry.

The Yankees have signed RHP Bradley Hanner to a MiLB contract according to Joel Sherman of the NY Post.

Hanner appeared in 42 games at the AAA level with a 4.74 ERA and 29% K%.

Rumor is that the Yankees and Belli are off on the years. The Yankees are offering 5 years and Boras is demanding 7. I actually liked Bellinger, but if they are going to sign him, they get the same team back as last year (minus 2 starting pitchers at the beginning of the season) and continue to block Jones/Dominguez. And we all know if they sign Bellinger and miss out on Imai, they'll say they tried and then the team will suck this year. It's going to be hard watching the left side of the infield be crap at hitting and SS sucks at fielding once Volpe comes back and watching a catcher who can't hit. And who knows how far behind they'll be in the AL East before Warren, Rodon, and Cole come back. Cashman and Hal give no indication that they will ever drastically improve this team. 2026 might be a battle for last place with Boston.

I couldn't agree more with Clint Frazier.

In no way would I give Belli 7 years. That screams Ellsbury all over again.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn’t give anyone 5 years who has been as inconsistent as Belli
