He's no Travis Henry. At least 11 kids 10 different women.

I think 9 with 1 is harder than 11 with 10. Henry probably never sees all his kids at once lol

First congrats to my QB #17 IRONMAN Philip Rivers T3 all-time with Mike Tinglehoff for consecutive games started @ 240.

Reading this I like seeing the love for #17....I was lucky enough to watch every game he played in the NFL, HOF or not I never felt out of a game with him under center and rarely recall a blowout. Things did not fall our way a lot while he played but it was not always on him, you could put the 2010 season on that list... #1 offense #1 defense and still missed the playoffs.

Hats off to the QBs he faced during his 17 year career in the AFC, especially Brady, Manning and Roethlisberger who went 9-6 in Super Bowls dominating the NFL during his career.

To all the people who look at him as just a compiler they were not as lucky as I was, although I never got to see him raise that trophy I got to raise my family watching him be a hard working devoted family man....but the reality that he never was able to lift that Lombardi is just straight Bull Puckey dagggumit!!

Good Luck in Retirement 17

Hopefully UCLA gets one. Their futility is really sad. Penthouse to outhouse.

I'd be okay with it.. definitely not Wentz though. I'd take Darnold over Wentz.

Rivers was good. I'd seriously vote in Fitzpatrick over Rivers.

LOL, I would love to hear the logic behind this.

I set pretty high standards for who I think should get in and Rivers is on the outside for me. He was a good (maybe great at times) QB in an era mostly built for QB's to put up the types of numbers he does.

As much as I hate rings being a determining factor for a QB it almost seems like you have to use it for this era because so many QB's put up big numbers now. If I am being honest I don't differentiate much between guys like Rivers, Stafford, and Ryan to name a few. They all seem roughly the same tier to me.

In that 2004 class here is how I view it:

Manning was the worst QB of the 3 but has the 2 rings, Rivers was the best pure passer but couldn't win the big games, and Ben got the best parts of both. He is a good passer and has 2 rings. Of the 3 Ben is the only one who would get my vote.

It also hurts them being in a stacked era. To me HoF should be the absolute standouts and that goes to Brady, Manning, and Rodgers immediately. Brees and Ben are kind of the next tier for me. Good enough to get in but on the lower end of the generation compared to the other 3 I named.

I dunno, there are so many ways you can classify what an HoFer is but a lot of it for me comes down to my gut as well. Rivers just doesn't feel like a guy that should get in.

Well if they take after their father it gives them a really strong will to do well on the field and get paid. Got to pay that $170,000 in annual child support somehow.

I will never forget the 2018 come from behind win vs Chiefs at Arrowhead. Win or lose, Rivers was a fighter. Never missing a game is pretty impressive. He will get in the HOF, for sure. Thanks for the memories Rios!

Brett Favre was and I’m not certain about George Blanda but his son was 18 in 71 and he played 4 more years.
