Default What is the best insert design of all time?

Please take anything about value or iconography out of it, assuming you knew absolutely nothing about basketball cards and you saw a bunch of the designs on a table.

What is the best insert design ever?

I would nominate Dunk 'N Go-Nuts

The color palette on a translucent acetate stock made for a very fun card. In person the holofoil qualities on the letters also added an extra punch when viewing in person.

In hand, Jambalayas are fabulous. I only have one but it might be my favorite card.

I love the SP Holoviews. They have regular photos, plus foil etching, plus a hologram.

It seems like a lot, but it works together very well.

Also like the Holoview Heroes from various year, too.

Late 90's Skybox inserts have all the best designs.

Pretty much the ones produced by Fleer/SkyBox in the late 90's are the best, for me personally at least.

But these aren‘t inserts but parallels. I think, I go with the Jambalays. With them you got a whole new world in your hands.

It's kind of wild that 30 years later there aren't a lot of foil-etched inserts.

Such good looking cards that make the primary subject really pop with the foil background.

Can you imagine if the Manga or Kabooms utilized foil etching?

I see that more as a relic/mem card than an "insert". They are big money but design wise there are way better cards.
