I was pretty much all done Toys for Tots shopping and then this morning I wake up for an additional $$300 in donations. So it's off to get more toys and maybe rent a truck to get them all to the event.

My wife’s 91 year old grandma went on a Carnival cruise last Tuesday and broke her leg the first day. She had to wait 5 days until they reached Maui before she could get into a hospital for surgery.

Finally went through all the return address labels we were sent over the years in exchange for the hopes of a donation. The last sheet has 2012 on some of them. No shame, slapped them on Christmas cards.

Since you asked:

They quoted her $84K to fly her off the ship back home if she didn’t want to wait. My wife’s cousin and her husband made a red eye to Maui to help her (even though the oldest aunt was with on the trip). My wife’s cousin lives on drama and being the hero so she didn’t hesitate to leave. Everything we are learning is through her. Grandma has to wait two weeks to fly home. The cousin was sure she would die at some point before that.

The aunt who went with has a daughter who started a go fund me for HER mom because now she needed to get an Air BNB for the cousin who went even though the cousin paid for her flight and room and board by herself

They aren’t normies.
