2 points against OKC tonight.. what a stellar performance... His prices for cards don't justify his performance..

The Pooper Flagg moniker is going to be sticking around for a while
P.S - This is why Kobe came off the bench his first two seasons |

Honestly, the hot taeks after each game are pretty hilarious. As much as I think Flagg is overrated (and F Duke), he's still just a rookie barely a half dozen games into his career. I don't think anyone should have expected him to come out the gates just like he left the college game. That being said, I don't think he's gonna be the next superstar, but I think he can definitely become an All-Star level player and have a very good 15-20 year career.

People like to knock the guy when he is down, being a dookie and all, but I also think he can be a solid, or even a great player eventually in 3-5 years, despite being from Dook.
I think the people paying the kind of money for his cards and being emotionally driven by the hype is exactly what fanatics wants to push sales - this dumb and plentiful money environment is perfect for them. Will these same dookie fans ever learn? They are the same crowd who were introduced into the hobby during the Zion craze. Ok maybe not. Break away gents, your parents have plenty of money to feed your emotions. |

There are going to be a lot less eyes and pressure on him if the season keeps up the way week 1 has gone. A lot of young players really having breakout performances. When you spread the interest (and money) around, people tend to be a little more patient. Even Jaime Jaquez is suddenly relevant again.

He's gonna have a career similar to Tom Chambers. He's gonna be really good but not "generational" as everyone describes him coming to the draft. A bunch of All-Stars and maybe an All-NBA here and there but not gonna be in the HOF.

We're not going to see what he's truly capable of shooting wise until Kyrie returns or they secure a real pg. He should not be running the 1 full time as an 18 year old.
People forget Tatum had 'Rie his first few years as he was primarily playing off-ball to ease himself into the system. Wasn't until his 3rd/4th years where he was handling more of the offensive responsibilities. Kidd & co. gonna break this child's spirit trying to give Lululemon the 'look at my new hotter wifey' treatment.

It's all about efficiency in the NBA. Half the league can put up 35 on a given night if the usage is there. Especially in the offensive environment which exists now (pace, rules etc)
I was actually shocked watching him in college last year - with all the hype surrounding him coming into Duke I expected a much more dynamic talent/well-rounded player. Think he'll be a good pro, might even nick an All-NBA 3rd team once or twice, but I don't see the potential for much more. He's not a great shooter, his ball-handling is shaky, not a natural creator for others... maybe Michael Porter Jr.+ if I had to make a comparison. |

Last 3 games (all wins including Denver and Miami)...
27 ppg 7 reb 2 ast 60% FG 80% FT The fact that he is doing this at 18 bodes well for his future. If he can maintain this consistently, he has 1st team all-NBA potential. It's going to be interesting to see him playing with a healthy Kyrie and AD.

I think people keep forgetting this kid is 18. He's had some tough games for sure, especially early but also has been better than expected. I'm happy with his development so far.
Ninja has it right: Once Kyrie comes back and plays the point, he will be better suited to his position. |

When I look back to the 03-04 rookie class today and think LeBron rookie cards, my mind always immediately goes to his Bowman Chrome card. For Wemby, it’s his Silver Prizm rookie card that immediately comes to my mind. I suspect if Cooper Flagg continues on this trajectory, which I personally believe he will, I am curious what will be his one card that will immediately come to people’s minds when they think Cooper Flagg rookie cards.
