Default My one fun break…

Besides a bunch of spots in Ian’s break of Series 2 STSNW I will open a personal case (just ordered). His breaks are the logical way to be specific with drafting needs. Opening a case is fun and hopefully my extras will go to members supplementing their break needs.
I like the action and comraderie around the non-sports crowd here.

Rittenhouse has removed both Star Trek 60th Anniversary Trading Cards (TBD) and Star Trek Section 31 Movie Trading Cards (TBD) from their official release schedule. There is a new Star Trek set, Star Trek Connections Trading Cards (TBD), but no clues about what it might be.

Default STSNW Series 2 info slowly coming out…

At 1 per case, this is a nice relic auto checklist. Babs may be the only one considered a common.
Anson Mount as Christopher Pike
Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. Joseph M'Benga
Christina Chong as La'an Noonien-Singh
Ethan Peck as Spock
Rebecca Romijn as Number One

yeah, those are going to be popular and more expensive. I haven't gotten around and bought any season one yet. I think I will try to just get the relic autos and call it good for Strange New World autos. Season 2 has all the higher priority ones. I was assuming Rittenhouse would fill in the rest of the cast with the next set and was waiting to confirm.

We are currently working on an inscription style set for Voyager. This will likely be out in early 2026.
I find it a little odd that Rittenhouse would skip over DS9 for an inscription set but maybe there's a good reason.

No odo, no nog, plus a few supporting characters have passed. Maybe something to do with it?

There's a multiverse of Ensign Harry Kims that are available to sign cards. Curiously none of them have received a promotion...

The upcoming Star Trek Connections set looks very impressive.

With that said, how are they getting Leonard Nimoy autographs inserted?!?!? They look like on card autos!

If Rittenhouse actually had Nimoy sign cards for various future sets to be issued more than 10 years in the future, they really are playing the long game!

They could have the Nimoy cards be ultra rare buybacks from other sets. Or cards held back for QC and replacements whose time has passed.

Rittenhouse does in fact have an autograph vault where they hold back cards for decades, apparently. From the "ask Steve Charendoff" thread on Rittenhouse's site:

Quote:
We had no idea that Leonard Nimoy was so ill when he signed that last batch of cards, but we have held onto them all these years in anticipation that we would eventually use them in a project like this. He was a great man.
That's what makes smaller card companies so great, there's a real love and respect for the properties and the people involved.

We would probably be amazed if we could look into the RA vault. There have been a few occasions where they have had autos of a deceased actor in a release years after their death. Most recent example I can think of is Walter Olkewicz. He passed in 2021 and had autos in the 2025 Twin Peaks set.

Their reverent and classy handling of Star Trek predates Rittenhouse itself, as their principals are responsible for the superb Skybox-issued sets of the late 1990's, the first Trek sets to include autograph cards, among many other highlights.
