You can’t run a two-minute offense the whole game, or even for big chunks of the game. You need ball-control. You need time of possession. It’s not sustainable, and your own defense will be on the field too long.

You can play with tempo, and mix in some no-huddle, but that’s different than a two-minute offense.

Adam Thelian has been picked up by the Steelers. Think this will help them?

Sounds like Chip Kelly era in Philly. Explosive plays are fun to watch but football was meant to be a grind. A game of violent chess.

Right. And Chip had the horses to make it work for a little while. But just a little while, and the Eagles D fell apart in the second halves of the season regularly when he was there.

Going by FCG logic, the Pats destroyed the Panthers so Maye way, way, way better than Staffy.

I’m talking about to start the game and get a lead early, and maybe mix it in throughout

Not sure what you mean. I’m not saying QBs specifically, I was talking about Pats vs Broncos as teams.

After this weekend with the same amount of games played, the Broncos will likely be number one seed, and Maye and Nix will have the same amount of touchdowns. (And Broncos will have beaten the Raiders twice, Pats lost to them)

I think the Pats can win out with toughest game left being Bills. I think the Broncos can win out with toughest game being Chiefs.
Should be a fun track meet to the end and I think whichever team gets home field advantage should have a major advantage

Big Thursday night game tonight. Really hoping the Lions can pull it out but not holding my breath. Dallas has been hot lately and Detroit is going the other way

He didn't just lose, though. He had a couple back-breaking, game-changing turnovers.

Lions season is a done if they lose tonight. They better come out with a ton of energy. St. Brown might be out though. Laporta is already out, those are Goffs 3rd down guys. Really puts a lid on the offense with both out. Gibbs needs to be superman.

I was replying to Josie on that. Nothing to do with the Maye/Nix comparison.

He should at least run the correct routes.

I wouldn't fear a Matt Eberfluss lead D. The NFC North has already put up 71 points on the Cowboys this season. And thats not even with the Vikings playing them yet. They would add another 3 points to that total. Just the Pack (40) and Bears (31).

Might be a war of attrition though

That is only if you believe Rodgers. He has to make an excuse for being washed up. He isnt missing throws. His receivers are running wrong routes.

I do find it funny Thelian wanted out of Minnesota so he can latch on with a contender. And then ends up in Pittsburgh, who might miss the playoffs as well.

Dallas is surging, Detroit is floundering, or as Sibs calls it, Raheem-ing.

I expect to see the following tonight

Detroit, in the first half (maybe first quarter, you never know with that team) on a 4th and 1, on Dallas' side of the field and only down by 3 points, Dan Campbell (in his desperation, or stupidity) will look at his sheet and call a silly play that had no chance of working and will turn the ball over on downs, and Kellen Moore and Dak will 2 or 3 plays later orchestrate a TD drive

Calling it now, Dallas winning the game by double digits

Don't look now, but the Texans have rattled off 4 wins in a row, (they're currently on a bye), and their final four games are against crap teams

@ Chiefs (TNF)
Vs. Cardinals
Vs. Raiders
@ Chargers

With that defense of theirs, and CJ finally looking like he's healthy, they could potentially be looking at an 11-6 record when all is said and done.

I wouldn't stick a fork in them just yet

To be fair, he pretty much nailed it if his assessment of JJ McCarthy led him to demand that he be released.

7-5 plus 4 games = 11-6

The haters have arrived! It's do-or-die for Detroit tonight - almost surely out of the playoffs if they lose.

Loins vs Cowboys should be an interesting game. It seems like the boys are slight favorites as well.

Hopefully Amon-Ra plays.
