I saw on one of the Reddit threads that daguerreotypes could be 1/1s! Who did you get?

I believe there is some hidden info on these inside the box once all packs are removed.

Thanks. I did an AI search and if true to the original process then these should indeed be 1/1. I pulled David Ortiz. I’m going to redeem it and excited to see how they will look in person.

How it's made: A copper plate is coated with silver and polished to a mirror finish. It is then sensitized with iodine vapor, exposed in a camera, and developed with mercury vapor to create a latent image. The image is then fixed with a solution and sometimes treated with gold chloride.
Characteristics:
Each daguerreotype is a unique, one-of-a-kind image.
The surface is highly reflective and appears to have a positive or negative image depending on the viewing angle.
They are often fragile, vulnerable to damage, and usually kept in a case with a protective glass cover.

Edit to add…as you suggested, There is a photo of one inside the box. They are wood cased book cards so now it’s easy to see why they are redemptions

I've already seen other postings where pretty nice cards were pulled out of only a few boxes, including a blue framed Sandberg auto and one box with two autos AND a Daguero or whatever its called redemption. These were normal collectors, not breakers. Its not juiced, just the way things happen. Odds and variance is all.
You work for Topps, bruh? Basketball certainly seemed loaded the first shipment as well.

No, I just have a basic business level understanding of statistics and probability.

In the distant past, we had breakers posting here who busted tens of cases of Allen & Ginter each year and who were incredibly generous with information. That gave us all a really good indication of how things turned out. Reading the total summary of each case break was easy and quick.

Now we basically only have a handful of single case breaks. You can get a bigger picture from watching breaks on youtube, discord, and elsewhere, but who has the time and patience to watch tens of case breaks of the same product? People gravitate to the break videos where theres big hits so you get an incredibly biased sample.

Good evening! I'm looking to purchase all Will Clark 2025 Allen & Ginter cards. I believe he has 29 total cards/variations available this year. Thanks for your consideration, especially for those pesky 1/1s!!!

A Friend just really got into collecting a few years ago and buys a random box here and there. He hit his first monster today in his lone hobby box

I pulled a Spencer Schwellenbach mini auto today. My first thought was about how he must have been cursing them while signing. I know most collectors hate horizontal cards but they would give more space for signatures.

ID:	569007Ripped my 3 hobby boxes tonight and was really underwhelmed compared to last year. 2 of my 3 autos are non baseball and while the rip cards are nice hits I kind of wish they were players I’d actually rip vs keep.

I can't tell at all whose autos you got, but getting 3 autos & 2 rip cards in 3 boxes alone seems like you way beat the odds....not sure how this would underwhelm anyone.

Don't be fooled when you see purple. My box had a purple and I thought it was the 1/1. Turns out, there's purple chromes /75. It's not even on thr checklist.

Got 2 autos in my box so that's a plus.

I think we really need to see what he pulled last year if that’s an underwhelming break. There are plenty of 2 relic boxes out there. Anytime you can avoid hitting one of those is a win in itself.

It’s gotta be a level. Skenes and Kurtz rip cards, a $200 auto (big Sean) , two other autos, and a gold filagree….

That’s fair and I definitely wasn’t clear. I felt like outside of the guaranteed hits there was very little that felt exciting compared to last year for me at least. I know getting an auto in each box is beating the odds and I should be ready for non baseball in this set but one being a random drummer, the other big Sean is fine but just not a card I have any interest in keeping. The player was Connor Gillespie. Rip cards were Skenes and Kurtz both to 199. Awesome hits there and top players but I was bummed that I wouldn’t be ripping my rip cards. + Scott Rolen relic and a chipper to 50 on the gold filagree. Outside of those there was little from the boxes I’ll be adding to my PC because so many of my chrome, minis, and silvers were non baseball this year as well.

Last year I also got 3 hobby boxes and had great luck including a double rip card, a cloth framed auto to 10 of Evan Carter and a few other hits that were all baseball. At least we didn’t get dog show cards in every pack this year I guess.

I thought the Big Sean would be a $10-15 card so now I’m much less disappointed

No snark, but it doesn’t sound like Ginter is the product for you.
