All I’m saying is this. Our game translates into the playoffs against good teams despite our weak schedule.

Didn’t the Broncos beat the Raiders but Maye couldn’t?

I’m a believer that all you can do is play the teams you face and try to beat them. Pats are doing that and they deserve the record they have, and deserve to be playoff bound. But again, it’s not like they have faced a juggernaut of teams- it’s been a lot of bad teams. If Maye faces a top notch team and lights them up, I’ll drink the kool aid too

We know you can. That's the problem.

They should sit Dart the rest of the year. Dart will run into the problem a lot of young quarterbacks run into without having a steady coaching staff. The team sucks and the defensive coordinator doesn’t make things easier. If I am Dart I am begging for a trade.

No way they trade Dart, lol.
He gets Nabers back next year and Skatebo, and maybe a great coach. This isn’t a lost cause. But I think he needs to play to get the experience

I would rather him not take hits finishing out after tonight a 2-11 season. I have no faith in this organization choosing the right coach and yes the Giants have pieces to work with but until they not only get a good not even great head coach but a useful defensive coordinator nothing will change. The Giants could’ve been 6-6 coming into this game but blowing 4 big leads in the 4th quarter due to horrible coaching and bad defense killed that. What coach do you think could make the Giants not only competitive but a winning team.

I’m not a big fan of his but Mike McCarthy maybe. I also think Gruden could be a great coach for NYC either Giants or Jets

I would like to see spagnuolo get another chance at head coach. The defense needs coaching help and I think they could find an offensive coordinator who could help Dart. McCarthy and Gruden would be upgrades but would they want the Giants job.

He should have red shirted this season. And sat behind Jameis and Russ. But Daboll was trying to save his job.

Now that Dart has been tossed in the fire. You keep him there. Benching him now does no good. Let him take his lumps and learn the game.

Maye and Caleb took their lumps last year. T-Law was a different QB in year 2. Goff went 0-7 his 1st season and then became a semi-star.

The last thing you do now is sit Dart.

I could go with that I mentioned Spagnuolo as I think he could help the defense but with the good core players if healthy on offense I hope they can find an offensive coordinator who can put things together.

I agree to an extent but Dart plays so reckless that unless they reign him in a little bit he is an injury waiting to happen. I am not saying to spay and neuter him as he has to play his game but he has been on concussion protocol and missed 2 games already.

How would benching him fix any of that? So he can get hurt next year VS now in a season that is already worthless?

Let him stick his fork in the electrical outlet now and learn his lesson. Skattebo has too much CTE to learn from anything. But maybe Dart can.

Playing him in a season that is already done for serves no purpose. Let him sit it out and come back fresh in training camp with the new coaching staff in place and a healthy squad to give him more weapons. What benefit does playing him now do, the best they will finish is 6-11 give them false hope and possibly change their course of moves in the offseason.

You cant be serious with all that.

The benefit to him, is playing time. Rookie QB. The more games you have under your belt, the better. You need to get up to NFL speed. Understanding looks a D will give you. See how routes line up at game speed. See what different teams do, at different times in different games ETC.

Then you have the psychological side. What does benching him do to his confidence? What does it say to the rest of the team? Is he benched to save him from himself? Because he isn't the best option? To preserve him, as he is more important than the rest of the team? If he is your guy, you dont want his teammates resenting him

Flip all that. And wouldn't the team want to know if he is the guy going forward? He has only started 8 games. And hadn't even finished all of those. Do they need to bring in a better QB? Draft one? The only way to see if he is learning and growing is to play him now. Not next year, once the new season starts.

How many years did they ride with jones. Go ahead play him in meaningless games and risk an injury that could make him unavailable for next year. He can learn just as much from the sidelines these remaining 4 games as he would on the field without risking injury. As far as the rest of the team being upset that they are being given up on much too late to worry about that when they are 2-11. As far as benching him it should do nothing to his confidence if handled right, you yourself in an earlier post said he should’ve been redshirted but Daboll was trying to save his job. He has 8 or parts of 8 games under his belt and I really don’t know how much he would gain playing these last 4 games under coaches that most likely won’t be there next season.
