FS: 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle gray back

Greetings everyone

It has come to that time when I find I need to sell the a card I have been hanging on to as life has decided to throw a few plot twists our way and the pressing need of some medical bills and a few other things has caused me to sell this card.

I have for sale a 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle gray back #135 that presents exceptionally well. This card has very nice centering, excellent corners and all of it's original gloss. The downside of this card is the following:

- The card has a slight crease that does not appear to go all the way through to the back. The crease is located at the C in Mickey and runs diagonally for about one inch to the side border (assuming you are viewing the card horizontally). This crease is very hard to see and unless you are looking for it, you will likely not find it.

- This card also has the 91 written in ball point ink on the back. Why was this number written on the back? Well we will never know.

In my opinion this card would likely grade a 2 or 3 when the small crease and back writing is taken into consideration. If the ink wasn't there I assume it would likely grade a 3-4 and with no crease and no ink we may be looking at a 6. But the ink is there and the crease is as well so no need to be thinking about what if. It is what it is.

I feel that this is an nice eye appealing Mantle key card and one that has been the centerpiece of my collection for a number of years. I feel you will like this card due to the exceptional eye appeal and the fact you wont be paying the higher prices for a card that looks this nice.
