Do people use GMA anymore? I've always thought they did a good job.

Why would anyone use GMA over CGC with the pricing? GMA has no guarantees on authentication. Maybe the only reason to use GMA is to sneak a fake card to them and rip someone off on eBay or a card show.

Not looking to get a Jordan or Gretzky RC graded by them (I assume that's what you are talking about when it comes to fakes + other in demand cards). Low dollar card graded for around $10 to hopefully flip for around $30. I like CGC but just thinking of a less expensive option to turn a hot card quick. That's the only reason I was asking about GMA. I have never used them so don't know much about them, but I see a lot of people doing cross overs with them and getting good results.

With CGC turnaround times and prices, GMA really has no benefit right now. It is $12.60 CGC (25 cards) versus $10 GMA (20 cards) for the lowest tier. Turnaround times for CGC seem to be much faster than stated. Plus you get images to use to sell, they have pop reports, and can check cert numbers. CGC also has a registry, which could increase value. Also the pristine label is a benefit.

You need to be a premium member. It is $159, but you get $150 in grading credits. It is actually $134 with their Black Friday discount code of BF2025. After you get premium, you can upgrade to Elite for $296 with the offer they have. I just upgraded to Elite for $266 with the discount code being used again.

Premium - Economy $15.30 and Bulk $12.60 ($134 with $150 in grading credits)
Elite - Economy $13.60 and Bulk $11.20 ($266 with an additional $150 in grading credits)

Elite will pay for itself with 68 elite submissions or 92 premium submissions. If you don't submit a lot, premium is fine!

Sounds like their bulk return rate is better than the 50 days. Plus, at $12 something a card that's pretty solid.

My last bulk sub was something like 20 business days, they are very much underpromise, overdeliver.

GMA grading is actually not all that bad.....most are probably a grade or so over but all in all not bad..problem is as Dan pointed out lack of authentication.but if its just for protection and a close to right grade use them.just be aware selling wont be easy people know they slab reprints,alt,and overgrade.
