I feel pretty certain that the people who were complaining the loudest did not actually open any Series 2 despite being more likely to pull a black parallel. What is Topps supposed to do? Check Blowout each day to see what the people who don't buy their products are mad about now and craft a response?

First time shame on them, 2nd time shame on you. There's no point in screaming at no one to get something many people obviously want. The only promises that get kept are by those who actually care. Fanatics / Topps has zero interest in that.

I don't think Fanatics is going to care until they find something that enough of their customers actually do care about. What people collect is so fragmented that I don't believe that the presence, or lack of a single parallel can make or break a product. I say this as someone who collects SP/SSPs, and was disappointed when they switched to the golden mirror thing. I didn't buy any flagship products for two years, but started again this year. I haven't pulled a golden mirror yet, but found that I still enjoy opening a box. I will probably go to the LCS tomorrow to see what deals they've got and pick up a few boxes.

My personal bias for Topps Blacks is simply because the team sets I made are the foundation to my entire collection. I guess if they truly are gone then I have a complete set run 2003-2025 of Rockies Topps Black team sets. I had the 25 cards 2025 series 1 and 2 sets already completed and was eagerly awaiting the Update release. If it ends here I guess I should be proud of probably being the only collector out there who accomplished this goal.

I would bet they're back in Series 1, but I have no idea if they'll add the ones missing from Update. I don't know anything about the printing process, but assume it would just be added cost for something that might have a minimal effect on sales of the product. I bought a couple Series 2 jumbos at a card show earlier this month (each had a black parallel), but there was no shortage of Series 2 available.

It's just a bitter pill to swallow since Topps Blacks have been the staple legacy parallel in flagship for 23 years. And I still don't think their true potential hobby impact long term has been seen. Once players who have a Topps Black RC start going into the Hall of Fame, I'm almost certain that card will always have more people wanting it than total supply. We still are on the cusp of the next crop of future hall of famers with Bowman Chrome autos. and true Topps Black RC, and both could be game changers in the long run.

People who buy the vast majority of the cards don't care about any one insert in particular. This product sold so briskly, Topps couldn't even deliver to me the two hobby boxes I pre-ordered and paid for on September 30th. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

2025 Topps Update blasters are now selling on sale for $17.49 on Target right now (12/1/2025; 9:45am). This feels like either a mistake or a sign that they are really not selling well.

I am going to avoid these, even that that price, because I really cannot stand the stupid Halloween cards. Also, hangers should be coming out soon and I think the diamante cards are a far better looking parallel.

It's also shocking to me that Targe hasn't discounted 2025 Heritage because those have been up for a long time, don't appear to be selling, and I had hoped they'd be clearanced.

The sale prices are set by the distributor not Target, presumably based on how much slow-moving inventory of each item the distributor (or Topps if they're getting a closeout deal) is currently sitting on. Being early season Heritage blasters probably sold through a lot better than Update is currently.

all my targets are only allowing 2 per order of the Update blasters.

Finally saw Update at Walmart. They have been horribly behind putting new stuff out lately. My guess is because of all the Panini NBA and NFL crap falling off the shelves. They still have 2024/2025 Topps Chrome Basketball for god's sake.

Bonkers. Giving most folks no choice other than to snag direct from Topps on release (IF they can get it) or just sit out. 0% chance I'm paying any aftermarket prices......many still do though it seems.

You need to find a new LCS if they're charging you that price. Even the big resellers are cheaper than that...time for me to find a new hobby. They can keep on selling to breakers for all I care.

5 Meijer blisters, and 2 Hangers. No Kurtz base, but the Rainbow Foil makes up for that. Short bit of excitement when I saw the "A's" on the tinsel. Jeter would be the only player in the First Pitch checklist I'd want, so that worked out.

Yes, but I pay the international tax. I can't get product and if i do, i have to pay exorbitant postage and fees and it works out the same anyway.

I am going to start getting stuff sent to a family member and then do a trip to Florida once a year with a suitcase to take my sealed stuff home
