I've definitely found the yearly sale to be lackluster in recent years, but that's more likely due to my shift in collecting and narrowing my focus. It's tougher to buy a lot the more things have narrowed for me.

Fair warning: I remember from past years that some sellers who have a Black Friday promotion going don't even bother to do the Cyber Monday promotion. So it's a risk, both ways, if anyone is waiting on a better deal come Monday. You may find it, or you may find that the card(s) you are looking for are no longer on sale at all.

These ended up showing up in my account today.

Yes, and that's assuming someone else doesn't snag the carpet from under you first. I've missed out on many cards with from indecision, waiting for a better price, or waiting for more of my stuff to sell.

If it's priced right and you can afford it, then snag it now. From my experience, most sellers do not get much more aggressive on Monday. I will have an additional 10% off that day from my current sale but I'd assume the best stuff will be gone by then.

Yeah, as soon as my sale went live yesterday, I sold a dozen cards.

Not a peep today.

That said, to all the buyers out there (Chansterbogey, Pridedriven), feel free to shoot me offers, too!

Still early… someone could sell a high 4 or a 5 figure card and be right back in it.

I do think more people will be buying while watching football tomorrow. Sunday will also be a big day.

Maybe PSA took extra time trying to identify all the characters in your sketch submissions.

Perhaps… they were 5 sketches that were delayed! One was a Dinosaur sketch whose name is listed on the card itself but I guess stuff gets batched together and maybe one or more characters lead to delay.

No, I hear you and I share the sentiment. It still really isn´t any different for me. That was just total luck
3 cards, added today, weren´t even on sale and I paid full (gladly in a case like this), maybe even more. Hard to say on cards that you have never seen. I was just excited to finally get them.
The stuff I´ve had on my watchlist still isn´t moving. 1000+ cards, I now bought 6 (one today that the seller upped his %) and only 1 sold to another since Monday.
There seems to be too much of a disconnect between sellers and buyers, especially when it comes to the most random cards/players. Guess it´s not just me, seeing no one else buys what I´m watching.
"Market is strong" ... sure, Superstars, hot prospects, etc. I get it. But asking 5 to 10 times actual market, for low end serial# of no names or autos of common players? It´s absurd.

Yeah… it was value bulk but I also have had several that were submitted after these that processed weeks ago. Just a glitch with this batch it looks like.

If I see an auto card at 80 cents that´s worth a dollar, I´ll buy it, price it at 90 and take the 5 cents, knowing in advance it will sell within the hour, to one of the same of 3 or 4 people.
What I refered to as "problematic" are those that buy that same card at .80, re-price at $2.5 and then carry it for several years (or eternity more likely)
If I by chance see a 30 cent serial #d card I´ll buy it and reprice it at ~35 cents, knowing either you or one or two others will buy it. (I´m in simplified mode so it probably looks like 10 cents to you?)
I´m gonna estimate I make 20 to 40 of these flips per week when I´m active and never carry more than 5 to 10 cards most of the time, or for more than 12 hours.
Edit: Then I turn around and use that marginal profit as a buffer to justify PC-buys that I think are overpriced otherwise
Congrats on finding some rare wants! Always exciting when it happens.

One thing I know is the market for the cards I'm looking to buy is not strong. The last 2 or 3 years I have had over 2,500 cards on my watch list and only about approx. 10 have been purchased by someone other than me each year. Maybe if the prices are fair more would have been sold.

Due to what I collect (No hot players or superstars just common players) it has gotten harder each year to find cards in my price range. Yes I keep rising my price range. I though this year would be different as all of the parallels out and not everyone collects them.

Started with 12k to spend but still at 12k to spend. Haven't really ran a sell as a result.

Marked these down to 9 cents if someone wants them.

Upped my discount to 45%. Let's see if that spurs some sales.

Does 1/6 really mean 2/1?

Bought a fair amount of PC NASCAR from him the last 2 days. Very reasonably priced. Same goes for Bluedevilcards and a couple of others. Filled in quite a few holes. In terms of NASCAR, which is very niche and very cheap relative to other sports, there is still a bunch of way over priced stuff on the site that, even with sale prices, will never sell. They are priced like they are the hottest cards in the market.

1/6 means 3/7

Seems little different than just a couple three years back. This year I’m not even going to put in a request till January.

The contest thing is lame.

I think it would be easier to Shop the Black Friday Sale if I didn’t have to constantly bat down the Shop the Black Friday Sale popup while I am busy Shopping the Black Friday Sale.

Sales have been decent thus far but could be better. I have been selling on COMC since 2008 and this is the worst Black Friday promo that I remember with very little motivation for the average buyer.

Running at 40% off right now.
