Yep as I said above, I’m having a great time at the moment putting together James Bond auto sets etc, market is fluid, there’s lots for sale. Same with Tennis and Golf, some niche Marvel cards.
It’s 100% soccer. The market is dead. All the good stuff has been hoarded, the dregs that are available are massively, massively overpriced. It’s a graveyard. |

No other sport depends as much on Asia/Europe as soccer right now.

Even for soccer, transactions in which neither the buyer or the seller are in the US represent maybe a third of the market at best. And given that there are no new products being released, there's not much for people to buy/sell. Heck, we're halfway through the UCL group stage, and Topps has yet to release a single 2025-26 UCL product! ![]() ![]()

Subjective experience about the availability of specific cards you might be looking for or regularly watching is not a great metric. Ive been seeing a fair number of cards im after coming to market recently in better numbers.
Similarly, just because TCG/Non sport had record months, it does not mean they might not have have been even bigger if the import process was not such a S show. The import issues are real. Not just for sports cards but for just about everything. (Ive personally got direct experience with importing outdoor sporting goods. It's a mess on many different fronts). Personally, ive pretty much stopped buying cards from overseas sources after a few deliveries were held up and charged insane and non-sensible import duties that were not reviewable. In the past I probably had 3-10 monthly purchases that came from outside the US. Regarding soccer, Messi/Ronaldo and high end have obviously been booming along with a few others in premodern / vintage. Modern and ultra modern are heavily dependent on set releases, speculation and how a player is doing at any given time. There have been insane numbers of Messi/Ronaldo cards coming to market as people look to cash in after the dip or finally sell and get out after buying the boom. For a lot of other players cards, I have a feeling that a lot of people are waiting and hoping for 1. The Messi/Ronaldo boom to trickle to other players and 2. holding for the WC. Probably a bit of both at this point. |

the soccer market is so interesting.
it might be the most top heavy out of all the sports. You basically have the GOATs, yamal, few hobby good guys like Haaland and Mbappe, and then nobody gives a crap about the rest.

Yeah I saw it announced Friday and dropped today. I was on every EU site immediately and never had a chance. No EQL as mentioned and no US drop as usual. Limit of 10 boxes though this time! I’ve been able to get deco every year until now. It’s a fun rip at the price. Too bad.

The football card market is a few top QB's and rookies.....the hockey card market is McDavid, Matthews, Bedard, Celebrini, Ovechkin. |

Retired GOATs like Hank Aaron, Joe Montana, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, etc. are just as "collectable" today as any active superstar. As a SF Giants fan, I can tell you that Willie Mays, Will Clark, and Buster Posey are MORE collectable than any current SF Giants. |

Topps premier league gold dropped this morning. I didn’t go for it give the price tag of $200 plus substantial shipping per. Probably would’ve ended up with a Lewis dunk or Harvey Elliot villa auto. 40 cards, 2 autos, 2 numbered, doesn’t ship until 2026. Meh.

I wanted to post this, and see if I could get a reality check. This card just sold for $29,280 on Goldin. This is from the Panini 2025 Club World Cup set, and is unlicenced so no team name or logos. In what way does this make any sense? Even $5,000 seems like an egregious amount for a card like this. Is there something I am missing that makes this card worth nearly $30,000?
Thanks in advance

The Issue with the Messi is that it is unlicensed. Its still a great card.

So apparently there's video footage of a Fanatics employee at the recent London card show admitting that they knew which breaker was going to hit a Ronaldo 1/1 auto.
