This is hilarious, I'm getting notifications all night on items that I'm watching and auctions that have ended. Yet no action can be taken.

My credit card has in fact been charged on an auction that ended this evening.

I think most people thought this was a terrible idea from the start, and somehow it's still significantly worse than anyone expected.

Dude had the easiest job in the world, people sending him hundreds of millions of dollars a year of product and all he has to do is take pictures and ship them out while taking a nice cut. And then you have to go and do this.......

Looks like poor Ricky is going to be taking an uppercut to the chin refunding all of these erroneous credit card charges.

Greed.

Pure, undiluted, greed.

Having technical issues / website overload during an auction closing is nothing new - but not shutting down all functions of the site while trying to "fix" the issues makes no sense at all.

How is there not an option on the backend to pause the auction? Or an option to extend the auction - they could have just extended all auctions for a year or some other arbitrary number so auctions are not still running and closing in the background.

Not a good look at all.

It's clear there is no expertise in tech here.

Between the AI slop promo photos and the disaster that was the first ending auctions, Probby forgot he needed to actually build out a site.

I'm a member of the E4 forum, and on the Snype thread, someone posted that:
'This platform is pretty amateur and not trustworthy at all. You need to invest in better AI, not the free version, I guess.

I just checked out the E4 forum and found this relevant thread about the site's vulnerability and some suspicious user activity - https://www.elitefourum.com/t/backen...-bidding/59369

All I can say is Wow!

Over.

Right now he’s free from eBay seller fees and buyer protections. He’s going to fight for that as long as he can.

That being said, there’s still a decent chance he returns to eBay at some point if he’s never able to figure out how to run an auction website on his own.

For the buyers who signed up and gave SNYPE your personal and financial info, what made you want to do that? Was there a specific rare card you wanted?

That's some crazy info from elitefourum.

Probstein and Kevin Burge? What a great auction platform.

Countless people act irrationally and stupidly when it comes to baseball cards. No different.

i is worse than i ever thought it could have been. If the E4 forum thread is true, I am not sure why anyone would ever do business with him again.

I was always assuming because of the massive amount of people on blowout forums this would be the place that would be able to start a sports card auction site to compete a little bit with eBay

I dont think anybody thinks Ricky himself is sitting there bidding them up, but it wouldnt be hard to have somebody else do it. Just like breakers text people to come into breaks when the prices are going to low. I think its hilarious that you dont think that this happens.

Sounds like Rick is trying to finalize a new deal with eBay to get back on there ASAP. Told the consignor - "'we are in the middle of doing a deal with eBay we already have your items pictured and described so we can post to eBay fairly quickly with your permission please let me know if this works for you thanks, rick"
