It's at +1000. Vegas put too much trust in Chiefs dysfunction offense. Or, I guess a lot of people blindly trust Mahomes and that's where the money coming from

The only reason I am not overly optimistic about the Chiefs getting by Buffalo is running the ball is not their strength.

Tucker shredded that defense.

People saying that chiefs players aren’t wide open yet people want to talk about how great Andy is with schemes and that mahomes wins only off of Andy ..so which is it?
jjrpilot is the only person here who has mentioned no one can get open, and I wholeheartedly disagree with that assessment. Kelce, who is a master at finding the holes in a zone, has been catching wide open passes for over a decade. Most, if not all, of their successful completions are to schemed-open receivers (see SB LVIII).

The fact is Reid's system was great - and it was great in PHI, too, until it wasn't. Offenses get stale, and the league catches up. Packers' fans went through this with Mike McCarthy in GB and are seeing it again with Lafleur. After 7-10 years of the same concepts and variations of those concepts, things tend to peter out.

Mahomes will have to change stuff up, though, regardless of Reid's future there in KC. I'm not sure I've ever seen him just take a three-step drop and fire it to his first read. And I'm not counting about when Kelce runs a 5 yard dig route and sits in the zone for a completion - I'm talking about to a WR. If you guys watched that KC/BUF Sunday night game two weeks ago, Michaels and Collinsworth commented after an incompletion (to Smith-Schuster, I think it was) that it was his first (or second) ever back shoulder throw. That's just unbelievable in my mind. I still can't get over that nugget of info.

Honestly, I don't know why people are just writing off the Chiefs when they are 5-5.

As a Broncos fan I would love to see them go 5-12, but the reality is they probably go 5-2 in these remaining 7 games, go 10-7 and make the playoffs.

They have 2 guaranteed wins in Raiders and Titans.

2 games I feel very confident they win in Dallas and Houston, that's 4 wins right there.

Just need 1 win out of the Broncos, Chargers and Colts, all at home by the way. If they beat the Texans, they'll have the head to head there as well.

I agree with you about Reid; I would love to see a young offensive minded play caller in KC to see what this team could be. The play calling is stale, and I just don't see the pre-snap movement and play innovation I see from other teams in the league.

+500 for a .500 team to win their conference has to be some sort of record

Big Ole Red chucked Kermie under the bus.

Red says he is calling in many run plays but somehow that is not what is coming out of the huddle.

When they started doing commercials together, that somehow put the thought in Patty’s mind that they are equals.

To be fair, I'd be checking out of those runs too if I were Mahomes. Their run game and O-Line are trash.

Parents acting as their kid’s friends. Older people playing online video games with young people. Young and old interacting in online chat sites. Kids sitting at the adult table.Coaches starring in commercials with their players.

We have come a long way from the days of old people/young people segregation. There’s a sociological essay to be written here.

Found this analysis of KC's issues beating man coverage against Denver. The sad thing is that Surtain didn't even play in this game...

Exactly. I liked McCarthy but he never really adjusted and the game passed him by.

While they will likely be heavily favored, there's rarely a free space in the NFL. I would not at all be shocked if they limp to a win or outright lost one of those games.

Mahomes is on pace for another 35 or so sack season. Perhaps the O-line is less effective, perhaps he's slowing down a little, or some combination of both. He still looks filthy good at times.

Agree with all this and I think they get 10 or 11 wins. The Chargers and Colts aren't world beaters and the Broncos will likely be another close game.

No way they lose to the Raiders or Titans, no matter what the post above says.

I don't think 10 wins does it. The problem is they lost the tiebreaker against Buffalo and Jacksonville. They also are down 0-1 vs LA as well, but will get a chance to rectify that.

Realistically, check back in 10 days to see if they have a shot at the playoffs or not. Indy is going to be tough coming off the bye week, but at least it's at home. Cowboys are a team they should beat, but on the road on a Thursday game is always tricky. *If* that happens, then the end of the season is very winnable:

Home vs: Texans, Chargers, Broncos
Away vs: Titans, Raiders.

So these next two are must wins if you want any slack down the stretch.

I've seen a few times this season, 2nd or 3rd and short with the Chiefs in their own side of the 50, defenses just surrender the short run for a first down (and possibly benefit from something like a hold call) rather than risk something downfield.

Broncos tried in the 4th quarter on 3rd and 2 and the Chiefs passed anyway.

Default Patrick Mahomes Prices

I don’t understand why everyone is bashing and saying Mahomes is washed if they missed the playoffs?

Like Brady never got eliminated early or lost a Super Bowl?

Same for Peyton and Montana

Def not washed.

But, Brady never missed the playoffs. Maybe 2002, super early in his career if that counts? But, this is prime Mahomes age and missing won't look good. Especially with 7 teams making it now. They can still get in!

Is missing the playoffs worse than getting knocked out by Sanchez, Eli or Flacco?

Would prime Brady and prime manning get this chiefs team to the playoffs with that defense and set of recievers?

You bet your behind they would! And not just barely squeaking in either!
