I agree, things tend to drop in chronological order but I'm guessing Topps wanted a high profile player as #1 instead of a team card. Everything revolves around $$$.

Yes...always have.

Short prints ruin exact PR because Topps doesn't share how many are made...probably 100 but that is speculation and not confirmed.

It's like they're trying to be transparent but then not.

At least with Panini Instant, you know the actual PR of each card.

Topps just won't share SP details...not even to platinum members. Speculation is just that....things we hear.

But I will note that I noticed on a recent Antoine Griezmann (UEFA) card, Topps noted a /100 for the SP...when I wanted to take a screen shot of it later, it was gone.

I hate it too...it's always been about transparency for the most part and then they throw this monkey wrench into the loop. Not an issue when parallels were additional cards but now base getting replaced by any additional card including SP's? Bad Topps!

I’m a white Sox guy, so I almost always got a parallel, even on a five pack. Some 20 packs, I got seven extra cards! No 1/1, but every other tier.

Received an Email from Topps this morning about NBA Topps Now PR's and transparency. Just brought to my head the SP situation and annoyed me, LOL.
