I assume it will be the same COMC price data we see in our seller history for items that sell through eBay which is not what you describe. When an item in my COMC store sells on eBay they show the COMC price and 5% fee. They markup the product on eBay to cover eBay fees but those never show in our COMC seller history data. Can you post a screenshot of yours if it is different?

From Twitter…

This is not a joke.

I have it on good authority that COMC is in financial trouble and may not make it past Q2 2026. I would recommend having your cards shipped to you as a counterstrike.

I am posting this as a heads up to my fellow collectors to get out ahead of this.

Anyone heard anything?

Interesting

I have a lot of cards there currently in grading and raw so hope it's not true lol

If this "good authority" tip came from an insider leak, it'd be huge

But not seeing the classic signs of heading towards bankruptcy (layoffs, frozen submissions, or excuses for halted payouts)

And they named the company that the issues were being worked on . So if it wasn't true I'm sure the company would of refuted that by now.

I'm not so sure we would see those signs, since it's a privately held company without reporting requirements or a large enough workforce to attract much non-hobby attention.

I'm also not worried, because (A) it's a tweet from TBP, and (B) it would make much more sense for COMC to be a takeover target from eBay or a competitor, or at worst a restructuring bankruptcy, than to descend into a chaotic "all your stuff is in limbo forever" situation.

I wouldn't recommend keeping thousands of dollars in credit there, but that's no different from my recommendation as of yesterday...

That’s disconcerting.

I am (like many of you) waiting on some cards from PSA that were due last month as well as my cash out that was requested over a week ago.

At least I keep getting random emails from them about my “recent” activity.

I don't have a screenshot but multiple times I've seen a card on the site for X price and then check the sales data and it is off by 20%

I am pretty certain the "non comc users" ebay sales get lumped in skewing the data to some extent.

Why would you post something on here that could damage a company and was posted from a loser on X when you have no inside info yourself. So whatever you read on X you feel you need to pass that on to others even though you did not dig into it to see if any of it was credible.

Something that costs them nothing to provide since it is already available for some money up front? Doesn’t smell great. Seems very desperate

they've always been very protective of sales history but you are right

the platform would be better if it was free for every user to see

Bold move on COMC's part.

I've never understood this decision by COMC. Not showing sales history, and also not having the highest quality scans unless you upgrade. Making those upsells really detract from their platform if you ask me.

Also for those who may want/need sales history, I know it's not COMC directly, but in case anyone didn't know this, you can now lookup sales history for free on eBay going back three years, no longer just 90s days.

Go to

My eBay > Selling (Seller Hub) > Research > Product Research

Then select the pull-down menu for 3 years.

A standard sales search only goes back 90 days. You also get a full image of the main photo of the card that sold (not just a thumbnail), which helps lookup cert numbers for graded cards, or centering etc for raw cards, and to me, 3 years is more than enough, since sales pre-pandemic aren't exactly relatable anymore, etc.

Just passing this along if in case it helps anyone.

Correct - it’s the old Terapeak and works well for me. Agree with your comc statement on the sales history part as well.

I'm trying to ship a BGS 9 Michael Jordan 93-94 Scoring Kings to myself and it keeps showing $10.99 for standard and $13.99 for rushed is that right? I'm in NJ and when ding rate check it shows $5.99 but when it goes to confirm shows $10.99

A COMC shipment that says was mailed the 14th is showing still that the label was printed and nothing else. Disappointing. Not surprising of course. Are they just printing labels given how far behind they are to keep people from getting more annoyed?

It appears that when a label is printed on a Friday, it doesn't go out until the following Monday. I have had that happen to me several times. You should see an update on the tracking some time tomorrow.

Better than my current experience, haha. Rushed(Priority) shipment had a label created on the 13th and was shipped on the 14th. Why worse? It's in Alaska as of the 16th and still just sitting there. I'm in New Mexico.

I'll give it a day or two before I email to ask them wtf, but I'd much rather be in the situation where it was still at COMC waiting to go out.

I've had them mail on Friday's plenty of times, by 10PM EST there's always been some sort of update to it at the latest.

Oh believe me I have no plans to send any email that will get ignored or answered next week. It's just annoying that they jack up shipping prices saying this will get us to mail quicker, then it's basically the same amount of time waiting, it just cost me $80 more for the 'cheapest' shipment category.

I just had 3 cards drop from the old free graded promotion. They got the description wrong on 2 of them. Literacy is a skill folks. Whatever or whoever is doing this doesn't have it.

Is the value of the package high enough to require signature confirmation? That would explain the increased cost.
