Default Helton Card Question

I have a 2001 Todd Helton Playoff Absolute Home Opener Souvenirs Triple card numbered to 75. It doesn’t look like any have ever been graded by PSA or BGS and none show up on eBay or 130point. Is this strange that this card doesn’t appear anywhere or is it simply the fact that Helton isn’t super desirable so certain cards don’t pop up?

One sold on eBay on July 28, 2025 for $39.99. It was titled "2001 Absolute - TODD HELTON - Home Opener Triple Game Used Bast - ROCKIES #d/75".

The single base relic version that’s /400 sold not all that long ago. It’s a cool card (I had the Roberto Alomar back in the day) but it’d be a tough grade and it’s not super valuable. Being that’s it cool and not super valuable and numbered to only 75 I’m sure a lot are in Helton personal collections or people trying to put together the set. Probably in the $10-$20 range.

Never seen this insert before, but I think it’s cool!

Looks like one just like yours sold in July - triple base from the Cardinals home opener against the Rockies on April 2, 2001. Strangely, Helton has another in this insert set (sold in March 2024) in his white jersey for the Rockies home opener (against the Cardinals) on April 9, 2001.

That will not pop up for me whatsoever. Tried every combination and even copy/pasted your exact title into eBay and 130point. Can’t find the card lol

It comes up using eBay Research Tool. If you search "2001 Absolute Todd Helton" all of the sales for the variations of the card will come up.

I've collected Helton his entire career, and this sums it up nicely. Arguably the best player ever on the Rockies, he has a large collector base in the 'Rockies' region. I have trouble finding rarer Helton stuff all the time simply because it never comes available.

Relics from Pujols' first MLB game. Neat.

The Home Run versions of that set use the multicolor swatches. Really nice looking cards. A Griffey sold on eBay about six weeks ago. As for Helton, I suspect a lot of his cards are buried in random boxes in people's basements and card shows/shops outside of Colorado. As good as he was, his cards never got a ton of attention, especially in the era of Griffey, Thomas, Bonds, Sosa, Arod, etc. And because cards of players like that are not as easy to find, sometimes will fetch higher than expected prices.
