Mine says 218,786, it's clear to me now that COMC is not intended for things to come off the website lol.

comc took money out of my account and went negative for processing and cards haven't popped yet. Usually when get a positive balance they pop automatically. Dreading that I don't have to email them and wait weeks for response.

guess somebody from COMC might read this thread - they popped right after I posted

vengeance!

Had an auction end on Friday but I still haven't received payment for it. I'm wondering if it's related to the issue that I saw a few posts back about COMC store credit not being able to be used for eBay auctions. Are users still having an issue with that? Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure the weekend doesn't count as biz days...

Ah, okay. I didn't realize that it had to be during business days. I figured it was automatic regardless with the store credit. That would make more sense if it was a non-COMC user paying through eBay though.

It definitely DOESN'T have to be "business days". They give 7 days for people to pay on eBay. If it goes unpaid after that, it'll take 14 days to either show up back in your account or set up to go back on auction.

Default All I want to do is talk about COMC

Ive been pretty lucky avoiding non-payers on comc eBay auctions, but two things I was wondering…

-Why doesn’t comc have eBay autopay for auctions set up? Every time I sell something on eBay from my own account at auction it’s basically always autopay in 7 days now.

-Does comc block nonpaying buyers on eBay (I can almost guarantee they don’t because a large company like comc isn’t micromanaging like that)….but seriously, why not. Who cares about their future business if they are the type of person willing to bid up an auction and then not pay

They definitely have autopay set up. I had one just last week that got auto paid through eBay/PayPal instead of via COMC credit...which is what I wanted. So, I got to pay tax/shipping on a card I wanted on my COMC account to sell. D'oh. There is also no option to change that 1 hour autopay, that I can find. Tried google/eBay CS and they said it is set up by the seller.

I think the better question is, how do people get around it? Haha. I can't even figure out how to turn it off, save taking off all options for a payment to be made(I guess?). I don't see how they're bidding without a pay option though... So, I am assuming those people must have a payment option selected and then after they win the auction delete it? Something like that.

I sent around 100-110 auctions at the end of October and 3 or 4 didn't get paid... Not sure if that's normal or not normal, as I never really send that type of volume. Seems like in the past it's pretty few and far between on non-payers(probably because of the autopay thing...).

No clue if they block non-payers, but I agree, they should. Super frustrating to wait a week plus for a card to get listed, 7 days on the auction, no payment to be made, 14 more days before you can even relist again and then start that whole process over

Huh, interesting about comc having autopay- I guess thats my question also then, how do some auctions still go unpaid?!

I don’t remember any comc auction of mine actually going unpaid, but then again I rarely send items to auction. But Ive heard stories of people having to have their comc auctions relisted including yours so figured it must happen. That does sound very frustrating, to take multiple weeks until it’s finally sold and paid for. I do think comc should block non-payers (would suck for that buyer to be blocked by a huge card seller like comc, but should be the result of not paying. If a buyer won an auction on my personal eBay account and didnt pay, it would be an immediate block, not even worth a 2 second deliberation).

This was originally estimated at 11/6. I won't complain too loudly since I'm glad stuff is selling well but that large shipping rate increase was advertised to fix this side.

I have a hunch the Black Friday week will have smaller markdowns overall than what could be found in prior years. Will see. Mainly just adding stuff to the watch list in hope but some of that stuff is getting scooped up. I will have an aggressive sale myself.

COMC just blasted an email with a black friday 'deal' of getting all the sales history until the end of the year if you upload $250 in store credit.

Actually feels closer to a red flag to me....

From the Blog :

This is the big one. The first-time ever one. The we’ve-never-done-anything-like-this-before one.

Add $250+ in Store Credit between Nov. 24 – Dec. 1, and you’ll unlock FREE access to COMC’s entire historical sales database through 12/31.1

Yep. Every card. Every sale. Millions of transactions. Years of real marketplace activity.

This level of visibility has never been available to COMC users before, and the timing couldn’t be better.

Imagine what you can do with this insight:

Price smarter during Black Friday Week, Cyber Monday, and the December holidays
Spot under-the-radar buying opportunities
Optimize your selling strategy during the busiest stretch of the year
Pair with COMC’s Bulk Price Editor to quickly adjust pricing across your entire COMC inventory (Download the Bulk Price Editor)
Make confident, data-backed decisions using real COMC trends
Whether you’re a buyer, seller, investor, or data-driven collector, this feature is a game-changer.

Had the same thought. Liquidity issues? Need an injection of cash?

I suppose you could add $250, then request a cash out the following week. The data would in theory cost you $25.

Hopefully the $250 promo gooses buying activity during Black Friday week. I try to limit my COMC purchases to the amount of credit I earn from COMC sales, so I doubt I will add $250 of my own money. It would be cool to get the unlimited sales history though, so I might eventually breakdown and do it.

They had something germanely similar last year where you got a rebate provided the purchase came from store credit before a certain date. I think it's just a way for them to encourage spending on the site. If the money is already in the account, then it makes it easier to spend. Not sure how many people really care about the sales history stuff. I rarely use it on the site myself but perhaps I'm in the minority.

It's not a red flag to me, just a very weird bonus.

The people who can really make use of it are usually the ones who aren’t depositing money themselves (the resellers). The ones who put in the $250 to buy cards usually can’t do much with such a huge amount of data. So who exactly is the target audience here?

In my opinion, a monthly subscription would make more sense (for example $20 a month for ongoing access to all sales including updates). Having access to all sales only for a short period of time doesn’t sound all that useful to me.

They thought about that -

Now if that history was downloadable similar to your own personal sales history, I think it'd be worth it. Plus, just think of the fun you can have laughing at old sales of Patrick Mahomes RC's for a $1.

No, that's just refunds they're saying no to. I'm talking cash out where you get hit with the 10% fee. No stopping that.

It’s a nice add on if you are already thinking about spending $250 on sale cards. It might also encourage casual buyers drawn in to the sale to start selling through the website. It doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

My expectations were low but those promos just released are disappointing…selling more and more on my own on eBay.

the problem is how accurate is the data? between comc selling on ebay and charging buyers 13% more vs. the website I just find it may confuse people more than it is worth.
