It's either the mockup image that needs updating or seems like it could be Topps' version of FOTL (similar concept: first off the line v first day issue).

Chrome pre-order is next week with the actual release some time in December. There's news of dutch style auctions starting in December.
This could be that first product.

D'oh. I knew it was staring right at me. That rainbow sticker on the left side.

You know the drill Bobby, think something outrageous and add $100 to it. $400? $600? More?

Oh jeez, I certainly hope not.
At those prices I wouldn't even try to buy any. If Jumbos are over $1k direct from Topps then I'm out.......way way out

If it’s anything like the “flagship” garbage I’ve opened, I might as well not even attempt to buy any. It will be even more of a waste of money.

Call me crazy, dead for 30 years, a bad painter, whatever - but I don't see this holding value well. They're going to produce so much of this with such high buy-ins, market is going to flood more than my easel's rinsing pan, singles will collapse once again. Every noodle haired doofus with dreams of my hair will grade every bass Flagg they find.

If we are talking long term value vs first week value then I absolutely agree, but if we are talking later value relative to other sets I think there are so many factors propping this set up.

First Topps Chrome set in 15 years, hyped rookie class, second set of the year, the fact the set has Topps Chrome in its name, the hype from Topps taking over in general

I think this set is going to be absurdly more expensive than it should be relative to other sets that'll come out this year (and possibly future topps Chrome)

Yes, initial prices will be insane given that there is nothing else out but flagship basura.

Over the long term, we can be sure fanatics will find some way to screw it up.

Of course, they really don’t care, they will just print new money.

You're probably right Roberto. Does this mean you won't be attempting to buy at "MSRP" from Topps?

Oh, I'm very excited to fail at buying! Can't wait! But if I do get through, assuming gouge pricing, there's zero chance I'm opening this.

baseball was $199 and $399 and they are now on ebay cheaper than this. Basketball shouldn't be too much higher or people will eat it on this product
