I've talked to customer service many times before the "fair market value" email came out and got 5 different reps/operators and then decided to just deal with this by support-email. Told them I don't want the credit then and currently still don't at the current prices shown and I've been advised to not use it until this is resolved.
While its hard to say how much replacement cost would total depending on the grade and so forth but these cards was suppose to be mint/near mint so i would think a grade 8 at the minimum with some 9's and 10's sprinkled in.
Was told and advertised by Topps they were in a climate controlled "vault" and each card was stored in its individual case.
I need to go through my old topps support emails from years ago but i remember it saying "your cards are safe and they will be there when you decide to have them shipped"

For what its worth i was very active on the etopps site and recognize many of the same usernames on here from back then on the etopps boards.

I'm pretty sure at some point between Topps closing the exchange and Fanatics buying Topps, some major shenanigans happened. I would assume people working there thought it was dead, and some major backdooring of cards worth anything happened. Only after Fanatics took control and started working through Topps's inventory of stuff did they realize the liability they had with it. They bought Topps's headaches as well as the good stuff, and they thought they could just shoo everyone away despite in some cases people having thousands of dollars tied up in what is still their responsibility to maintain, or should be. I wonder how the terms and conditions have evolved over the years. But it would probably take an actual lawsuit, not small claims, to hold them to it or pay reasonable market value as compensation for what they cannot fulfill.

Lots of the 2003s were lower print runs because they didnt sell out.

My handle on the forums was EtoppsTrader99 - I had a big position on a lot of the 2003 basketball cards - like 70% of the Kenyon Martins which was a big mistake - but luckily a lot of Kobes and a few other stars

Got Topps store for my unshipped ETOPPS cards today after
the missing cards were confirmed through the eTopps inventory records, Mt E-Topps.com account is closed. Took some time but a resolution happened.

It sure is. Wish I had the 2 you wanted from me. When I called a few days ago they said "soon" but refused to give me anything specific.

COMC would have been done shipping these a month ago. I am convinced Topps ship roughly 20 cards per day. I could personally go faster than what they're doing, and I'm 1 guy.

So topps sends out this email knowing they at least owe everyone who is waiting an apology. It basically says, we need more time because we were not ready for this, so we are going to give you something in 3 weeks, but we can’t tell you what that is. Also we don’t owe you any other updates in the future, be glad we gave you this.

It’s clear fanatics didn’t think this through. But they also inherited a mess from two ownerships ago.
At least they communicated and threw money at the
Problem. Especially when they said the were not going to communicate after you made your order.

I still suspect this is them cleaning house until a new vault program is unveiled.

September 16th was the confirmation email date. So almost 2 months on a very tiny alt port.

My main port was shipped to me stickerless and raw mid September and re-picked up by them 1 week later. THAT one I am not expecting for months but hey I was thrilled just to open a package today, lol.

Heh, if I was them I could see never mentioning or reminding anyone this era ever existed. I have a feeling we etoppers might be the biggest thorn Topps ever had to deal with. Granted it was their fault the entire way but what a mismanaged and abusive program this was for all sides.

I wonder what Steve-O is up to these days.
