Maybe he goes to Queens to play 2nd. There's only 2 teams that operate as if they have no budget, the Dodgers and the Mets. Hal on the other hand wants a shiny new boat each year.

Yep if they didn’t want to spend on Soto last year they will be even cheaper this year.

Not only that, but I'm sure he doesn't want to make the Pirate fans and management mad. I have no doubt that he may in fact want to play for the Yankees. I just think he never wanted that out in public and is saving face.

Or they will re-sign Belli and say they have no money for anything else.

They still need to trade or sign some kind of serviceable pitcher for the beginning of the year because as I see it, they only have Fried, Gil, Warren, and Schlittler until possibly the All Star Game. If the offense isn't scoring 10 runs a game, the Yankees are going to be out of the race pretty quickly with that rotation.

Definitely have to keep Bellinger in the mix as he proved he was a good addition last year. I wouldn’t mind finally seeing what Dominguez can do as an everyday player. As far as pitching yes they need 1 more because I would bet even money one of those pitchers you mentioned will get injured during the season.
