Default COMC shipping woes

Why does COMC Ebay shipping take place within a normal amount of time yet an order from the website is going to take a month?

Date Requested: 10/28/2025
Estimated Ship Date: 11/25/2025

Hire some people COMC

I have viewed many deals, many on BO, that I would have jumped on had the cards been in hand but passed because they were on COMC... don't want to deal with the cost/time involved to get the card into my hands.

I can certainly understand why.

because I believe the terms of their ebay agreement to get lower fees is they have to maintain seller ratings above a certain level - and shipping speed is one of the main criteria

They add a 50 cent per card expedited shipping fee plus 15% "buyer's premium" plus another 25 or 50 cents per card added to the shipment when they sell on eBay.

You can get your cards faster from COMC as well if you pay the same 50 cent per card expedited shipping fee.

I think COMC caps the eBay postage and handling at $14.99 or some such number. However, eBay also caps the maximum shipment at something like 40 cards.

Anyway, it's faster because it's more expensive. Or it's more expensive because it's faster.

Funny how little I personally care about shipping speed, as long as I get it eventually. Are there others like me? I've had PC cards marked not for sale in my comc account for as long as 7 years now, I'd rather they store them and I can always look at what I own and then quickly sell it if I want/need to. Haven't done a shipment home in almost two years and when I did, it took a couple months but oh well, I still received it eventually. I only did the shipment home because there were some Pokemon cards I was getting for my kid. I guess maybe it's because I'm not in a rush to resell and it's mostly lowish dollar items? I don't know.

They give ebay buyers priority.

Their million dollar cards retrieval/sorting machine thing is probably working at maximum capacity, so hiring more staff may not be the issue.

I tend to request shipment and not worry much about it. Not an issue for cards I just want to collect or plan on holding for a while. It does slow my cash churn rate on others. It's just a matter of adapting to constant change.

This is completely correct. eBay buyers are getting reamed in shipping costs that you're not paying directly on site unless you choose to.

COMC took ten days to ship an eBay order (worth a few hundred dollars). Went out this morning. I paid well over a week ago.
