Hi All - I purchased a Lebron James card for $270 as a Christmas gift for my son and when repricing a bunch of cards right after that I accidentally listed it for sale. I had an ongoing NBA port sale going on (that I rarely do and completely forgot about) so once the Lebron was added to it, it sold instantly.
The Port Sale # was 2271629. Does anyone have a COMC contact or recommendation on how to resolve? I emailed support and they said all port sales are final and there's nothing they can do....this was an honest mistake and it's heartbreaking to know they won't make it right, especially when I've seen this completed for other members in the past. Any help is appreciated as this was an honest mistake and I'm trying to get a one-time exception approved. Feel free to message me directly. Thank you!

I would be surprised if they reversed it. They would not for me.

They've reversed individual card transactions before, but I don't recall them ever reversing a port sale, which can be hundreds to thousands of cards. You can try using the staff@comc.com or the zendesk helpdesk on the site. I don't have any current contacts in customer service, but there are some employees that still read this message board, and they may reach out to you.

That's awful - sorry to hear it and I hope you get a positive resolution. I've dabbled in just about everything COMC has to offer, but I've never done a port sale. There are too many horror stories like this and they seem completely counter-intuitive when I looked into it. They really need to revamp port sales to make it much clearer and cleaner overall.

I’ve looked into port sales and they seem needlessly confusing. You’d think it would be pretty easy to select X number of cards to include in a port sale and then set a price for the lot.

I know that they did reverse one for another guy, but it had something to do with adding multiple cards that should not have gone into the port. Not sure how he accomplished it. Might search it up on here.

COMC has no real obligation to reverse the transaction.
You are leaving out the amount the card sold for within the port sale. If it was severely underpriced by accident, you might have some chance of reversal. But even if it was underpriced, it is ultimately your responsibility to manage your account on COMC and all of the pricing. I think the reversals we have seen occur were for cards added to ports that should not have met the parameters set by the seller. It was not the seller's fault in those instances that the cards were added to the port sale. |
