Out on this, but, I really like how Topps noted sticker autos vs. on-card autos in the checklist. Do they normally do that? If not I hope this is the practice going forward.

Looks like they’re holding some back for release day. I’m sure prices will be higher. But the page now says “available December 18” and you can “get notified.” Seems this is just Fanatics just milking more money.

Have you even been able to buy a case of anything? Most stuff is insta gone, havent been able to get any non flagship in a while.

I don't care who has the license. Fanatics, Panini, Upper Deck, Leaf...it wouldn't matter. This problem isn't even exclusive to cards. Check video game systems, sneakers, toys, and concert tickets. It's a problem everywhere.

You do a lottery, people complain that they never win. My dad has spent his whole adult life entering the Masters lottery and has yet to be selected. You do an auction, the prices end up where the secondary market lands anyway. You raise prices high enough to price out the "poors" and then people call you greedy and money hungry.

It is a problem that can't be solved.

I've been able to grab a couple cases over the last 12 months. Definitely challenging though.

The B&W release have historically been all sticker auto. This year they added the on-card autos to the mix, but most autos are still sticker. I think the change and the fact that the set now has both is why it's getting called out.

Bunch of folks dumping this at $350 or less. Seems likely to go a lot higher right after release but there a lot of impatience. I’d also say less folks are willing or able to carry a 30-45 day fanatics loan on their credit card these days, especially as the holidays approach.

Easy money for botters who don't care about trading cards. The last case I purchased from the secondary market was from a sneakerhead botter who gave me a better than secondary market rate price (also offered me a case of a subsequent product, 25-26 Topps NBA jumbo).

These guys are hitting most, if not all, desirable releases. They don't care to sit on product like sports card investors do, they're in and out, securing nice/immediate gains in the process.

You can expect to see this more and more (less manual wins, more botter wins).

While true, historically, B&W boxes have tripled in value. A lot of these people rely on information provided in groups (like discord) to know which products to go after and which to avoid. Niche or not, if it's promising and has a good track record, it'll be targeted.
