Suspended for the impending Leindictment.

Its hard to believe that in the 25 years Lebron has been in the league there hasn't been a single thread made about him. Absolutely Ludicrous its taken this long, thank you OP!

You are comparing apples to Leoranges.

Kobe is much more respected in the hobby than Bron.
i was collecting when kobe entered the league. there was much more hype as well as higher prices with lebron cards regardless of exquisite/ultimate/etc. as far as respect in the hobby, im not sure how thats measured. lebron sales higher then kobe pound for pound so theres that.

What are some pound for pound examples?

It’s not the same when comparing active player day cards versus retired cards, second year cards versus ninth year cards, etc.

You are still comparing apples to Lefruits.

I see Hermano is as insane as ever. Possibly even more-so than last time I visited a LeBron thread on here.

Exquisite came out because of Lebron, not vice versa. There was no coincidence in that. He was the most hyped basketball prospect in history heading into the draft.

Kobe was a 13th overall. Yeah sure he had hype as a high school prospect, but we're talking Jermaine O'Neal levels of buzz...hence why he was drafted by Charlotte.

Plus the fact he basically came off the bench and was a zero factor his rookie season.

I mean obviously if he did ever have an RPA it would be worth crazy money. But their super early career trajectories and expectations were nothing alike.

There’s no disputing that.

I was just responding to a claim that LeBron card demand dwarfs that of Kobe’s even to today. It’s just not true.

Can anyone think of a card that would make it a fair comparison of value? I can’t at this time.

Yeah I honestly can't say that a theoretical Kobe exquisite rpa /99 wouldn't be close to if not slightly more than a Lebron.

Obviously Lebron the better overall player and career, but the Fakers premium + best Lakers card ever produced carries massive weight.

If that Kobe existed and it was the first year of the exquisite line and Kobe was an upper deck exclusive auto, it would have greatly reduced the significance of the LeBron exquisite RPA.

LeBron definitely had the greater toolset than Kobe, but Bron is dwarfed by Kobe’s killer instinct and whoever’s career was better is debatable, Kobe does have five rings and a better finals record.

I would also argue that Kobe’s legacy is much more important than Bron’s.

Certainly debatable.

I mean there was that little Colorado thingy. Many people didn't forget.

Yeah, if that happened to LeBron or if LeBron got his dad killed from a gambling debt, nobody would forget or forgive, do you know what I mean?

He got LeSperm drafted. I think they're all pretty much on an even moral playing field, imo.
