Yippee.
Issue is also cap. Some of these big name guys teams don't have cap space now or in the future years to take on the contract.

I see a lot of Packer fans wanting Denzel Ward. Issue is that his cap number is close to $20 million dollars each of the next two seasons for any team that would trade for him. The Packers have several players coming due that they have do decide to pay or not and a 30 year old CB with $20 million due him does not help those choices.

That’s because teams like the Dolphins, and Browns who are going nowhere fast and should be trading off pieces for draft capital (Achane, Waddle, Njoku, a bunch of defenders). In return, there are teams on the cusp of making playoffs that may be a piece or two away from a playoff run, and giving up a draft pick now to help you get in the playoffs now makes sense.

Some teams like the Eagles are always ready to take advantage of the trade deadline and it works for them so maybe more teams should try it
Because dead cap is involved and would be disastrous trying to trade some of these guys.

I don't know how it would play out, but I believe Miami would be on the cusp of a $40 mil cap hit for trading Waddle.

Other leagues dont really have a hard cap like the NFL.

Eagles have made these deals more often than most, but they usually don’t pan out. Jay Ajayi was the exception.

You do nothing and add nothing to any conversations besides just trying to pile on. I'll tell you what, I am going to block you now and you block me too. Problem solved!

Eagles add Jaelen Phillips for a 3rd. Not bad to add into a rotation, and in the final year of his deal.

I'll take it. Phillips is good when he's not injured, which is a lot.

Last year of his deal, but the way the Eagles and the Dolphins worked out the trade, if he does leave in free agency after this season and doesn't re-sign with the Eagles, the Eagles are eligible for a compensatory pick.

That's any trade if a team trades for a guy and he's a FA he will fall in that teams trade comp calculator.

Looks like Dallas is about to get a LB from…the Bengals.

So from one horrible D to another.

That's a nice get, even if he hasn't been as great as the past couple of years. Colts going all in!

Was this the big move Jerry was teasing us all with last night on Monday Night Football?

He was interviewed and said to pay attention to the trade wire tomorrow, that Dallas had a few moves they'd be making!
