Off the bench, Harper is giving 15/5/5. His control on drives and passes early on is impressive. Going to get interesting about mid-season

As long as SGA stays healthy, I think that's true.

But strange things happen in the playoffs, and nobody has won back-to-back titles since the KD Warriors in 16-17 and 17-18.

Harper has been really good so far. Hard to look bad when Wemby is playing but still.

Harper makes Castle expendable. Package castle, some salary, and some picks and go get a star next year.

Easier said than done.

For whichever star is out there (Giannis being top of the list if he decides to leave Milwaukee), there are several teams who can put together more attractive trade packages than the Spurs, including both OKC and the Warriors.

What are the chances of 76ers Spurs NBA Finals? I want this!

What can the Warriors offer that can come anything close to a potential Spurs package? Also, chances of OKC breaking their championship core (when they are the favorites to repeat) are slim to none.

Kai Cenat's virtually unguardable unless you have consistent weakside help. His raw numbers should be pretty gaudy this year with embiid and podcast p set to miss most of the season and their second biggest scoring threat being Grimes.

Problem with Castle is he's not a natural pg. Ultra high turnover rates and subpar floor vision. And he's too inconsistent of a perimeter shooter to run the 2. SA's kinda just forced to leave him running the backcourt due to injuries like Amen.

Inevitably he's going to have to become a better shooter for his medium to long term prospects. That includes the free throw line. I had no idea he was basically Yannis from the stripe.

Don't get me wrong. He definitely has current value. But I don't think it's necessarily as high as people think it is. Think Kuminga.

Celts were the presumptive ones to break that trend, but then they lost their alpha. I think if OKC's trio remains healthy it's going to be tough for the field. Undefeated minus their second best player. And now they have guys like Ajay emerging out of nowhere. Embarrassment of riches.

I am seeing embers of SAS being next up. 2-3 years they could be that next iteration of OKC if they play their draft trade cards right.

Nice 20-point win by the C's against the "contender" Cavs.

Kidds usage of Flagg is so bizarre. On ball where he doesn't belong or just park him in the corner to stand around.

Get this kid some easy looks.

Spurs have a lot of talent, albeit young. A start of the season run gives them confidence. I realize they are lower rung teams so far, but they have shown grit. 2 starters out (Sochan, Fox) and they already have playoff rumblings from a lot of fans. Think I saw something about having the most quantity of wagers for the Chip as of late. And Wembanyama moving up in MVP odds. Pretty much a lock for DPOY. Other quality defenders they have. Didn't someone say defense wins championships?

December 23rd vs OKC @ SA
December 25th vs OKC @ OKC
Pencil those in as must watch.
Wemby vs. Chetster - a rivalry already.

We'll see how those games break out, go from there. But if healthy Spurs most definitely have a chance.

The Warriors have four tradeable 1st round picks as well as a bunch of talented young players who are already producing in the NBA (Kuminga, Podziemski, Quentin Post, etc.).

But there are quite a few teams that have far more tradeable picks than the Warriors, starting with OKC, but also including Brooklyn, Houston, Utah, and Memphis.

I think it's going to come down to Giannis picking his desired destination (if he decides to leave Milwaukee) and leaving it up to Milwaukee to get the best deal they can for him from that team.

Yep.....they just have to keep SGA healthy.

And given that they still have 10+ first round picks in the next 3-4 years, they could easily build a dynasty as long as they're willing to pay up to keep the team together.

This is the part many overlook, and the reason why they could afford to take the gamble on giving Chet the max. Their FO has nailed the drafts better than any other team this decade. So in the event either Jdub or Chet fall to long term injury, they have the draft capital to either pursue replacements or simply keep relying on their excellent track record scouting talent.

Always difficult to get ahead of myself when it comes to forecasting stuff this early, but I think they have a far better short-mid term scenario than any other team that sought to repeat in recent memory.

I want to say the Warriors will be intriguing this postseason. Mainly because Jimmy'll have a full season of team chemistry under his belt and their defensive metrics look really good thus far. I just don't know if they'll have the depth to reach the wcf.

AR15 putting up video game numbers since Lulu got sidelined.

11 dimes with 8 left in the 3rd?

Safe to say he's secured multi-generational wealth once that UFA tag hits in 2 years. I highly doubt he's going to forego the bag to play in Luka's shadow.

WOW. I can't believe Minny almost came back to steal this one. La wins last second though. Reaves is clearly healthy and maybe looks smart holding off on that extension.

I'm hoping Luka and Ant Man both return soon though.

He'll stay in L.A., the fanbase loves him and with LeBron gone next year they have the money to extend him.

Imagine if LA offers him the max. Then they'll be cuffed for the next half decade building around a backcourt that puts up a zillion shots but won't stop anyone defensively.

That said, I can totally see LA doing this. And remaining mid til Bronny's kid declares eligible for the draft in 2050.

In other news, is there a more useless player than Rudy Gobert?

That'll happen when the Cavs are without the guy who makes the offense run... as well as Strus and Merril. The team is down a few guys and experimenting with a few things. Rather have it happen now than in April again.
