This. There are at least four I've counted that a silver hasn't popped up yet. I messaged him by no response.

I don't believe that sweet spot exists.

Singles too high = buy boxes
Boxes too high = buy singles
Both too high = awesome product (very rare)

Ya have to agree. I think we have to go back to Star Wars masterworks that in my own opinion came pretty close to both.

I'm kinda hoping Star Wars High Tek might have some hope to come close. Maybe

I bought a box for $65 on ebay not expecting to get much, pulled a printing plate, patch card and a "SP" Gold card of the 10th Doctor. The gold is not stamped 1/1 and has no Dr Who logo on the front. (base card #10). If I decide to sell, not sure how how to describe it?

It's the Tardis gold parallel. Not a 1/1

Timeless, actually. Mathew Waterhouse (Adric) is the first signer for it.

I wonder how well this set has sold for Topps? Apparently well enough for a second release but you don't see the cards exactly flooding EBay and the like. Sometimes it's hours between something is posted there and even here there were only a handful of box breaks. Oh well. I was pretty happy with the set and will get the next one as well.

I'm a little bit surprised this set isn't selling better. I think the fact that most of the "Classic Who" actors have already signed for previous sets (and they're far cheaper than the asking prices of these) has hurt some. And I'm beginning to think that the Doctor Who fan base, as massive as it is, might not be comprised of collectors who are willing to spend high amounts on trading cards. Initially I thought this would have a similar card collector base as Star Trek, or maybe a lesser Star Wars, but apparently those are on a totally different level.

The fan base is there, the product is not. If the product was better, it would be flying off the shelves. Desired hits are to few and far between.

I thought this would be the Set of the Year......

I like it a lot... I picked up most of what I wanted Auto wise.

I tried for the Topps Vault Cards(Blank Backs)... Most were snagged up by He Who Must Not Be Named.

He is asking a lot for them on eBay.

So Blowout is saying two auto or relic hits per box of Timeless? They have medallions, so I'd be shocked if those were not considered hits as is Topps fashion. Have we gotten confirmation?

Just posted my Christmas break of two Doctor Who boxes over in the breaks section. I was pretty happy with the results! ;-)

Curious about something. Looking st Comc I see a few TARDIS patch cards that say Victoria Waterfield on the front and back but the picture is of Jenny Flint. There's 3 or 4 of these cards are there. Are all of the Victoria cards like this? Is Victoria on the Jenny cards?

As far as I know, this was an error that slipped through the long, drawn out checking process. But it isn't the only one in this set. There is another in the Gadgets chase set on Card G-8:

If you read the description on the back, it talks about the Sonic Blaster introduced by Captain Jack Harkness during Christopher Eccleston's time as the Doctor (The Hollow Child story if I remember rightly) but the front of the card shows agent Sara Kingdom from The Dalek Master Plan, a William Hartnell era story from way back in the 60s, holding a gun that isn't the Sonic Blaster described on the back of the card...though it could in theory still be some kind of Sonic Blaster

I haven't gone through all the cards carefully yet, but it would not surprise me to find out that there are other mistakes like this.

Good to know it's a release wide error then so I don't waste time trying to hunt down a non existent card. I did notice the Sarah Kingdom card and thought it was odd to showcase such an obscure weapon from an old and incomplete story. I always shaw Jack's gun referred to as the squareness gun so I never twigged it was meant to be that gun, I just look at the pictures and generally don't read the backs.

Well, 52 years of stuff there's bound to be a few mistakes. The show itself can't even settle on how Atlantis actually sank so it's forgivable Topps let a few errors through.

Can anyone help - have the 3 cut autos (Hartnell-Pertwee) for this 2015 series ever been found?

I know the Pertwee will be slightly less grail-like since he did sign for Cornerstone in 1995 before he passed the next year.

The Patrick Troughton as The Second Doctor cut sold on eBay in January, 2016 for $2100. That's the only one I know for sure (that was made public, at least).

Sorry, I should say 2 (hence only mentioning Hartnell and Pertwee) - I own the Troughton, which has since been PSA graded. Yet I've never seen the others much less had a chance to buy them. Pertwee I don't need - he signed on card for Cornerstone in 1995, there are dozens of them known to exist, I have had one for years.
Here's the Troughton if you want to see:

Very nice card! That's a treasure to have, for sure. I wonder if the other two were pulled by collectors who just haven't announced it publicly, or are they still sitting in unopened boxes, waiting to be pulled.

Got some nice pulls from a recent case. I can't find any info on possible values. Does anyone have insights?
