WT actual F

It is never straightforward with those guys. I think it is whatever terms you are able to negotiate. The other guy said he got 114% of the hammer.

The rep offered me 90% of hammer. The rep kept contacting me, but I told him those terms are not competitive. He said he would be happy to “circle back and negotiate.”

He did offer cash advance for “20% of perceived value” for consignments though that are valued at $50,000+

Thank you everyone for the feedback! Much appreciated!

At the end, I have decided to go with Alt. Mainly for two reasons:

1. Snap to sell- just make it easy for me since I'm super busy during the day to just take a pic of the card that I want to sell. Then print a shipping label when I get home.

2. Cash advance- this is unique to Alt I believe. I'm not dying for cash, but curious how this all works, so I gave it a shot. The prices they quoted me were half of what they usually go for, so that's fine with me.

I only did this for a few mid-end stuff to test out how it goes. If all goes well, I will fly to Dallas to drop of the higher end cards and they will give me the cash advance on the spot.

got a $25 off coupon on fanatics collect and was wondering is there a way to use a coupon on a card you make an offer on? or does it have to be a buy it now?

Not sure about the coupon code - but I will say it feels like Fanatics Collect has slowed down on processing a winning bid. I won a card on Oct 19th, paid the next day. It took them forever to actually recognize the payment as "complete" (this was a bank ACH transaction). Here we are the 29th and it still hasn't even shipped yet.

I did not realize Alt was still in business. I never hear about them anymore. I've actually been selling some of my higher end cards on eBay and have been surprisingly pleased with the results.

They've been selling some pretty big cards. The inner circle likes them for god knows what reason

I don't see any reason why people don't just sell their cards on eBay, or via people who contact you directly on ebay.

Why pay another human to broker the transaction and rake in tens of thousands of dollars? Literally negotiate a price you want, have the buyer fly in, meet at the bank, have them wire funds over, communicate with the bank to verify funds are received, hand card over. It's that simple. Take a vacation day if you need to from work.

^^I recently did all of these steps and couldn't be happier.

Both have many other issues, but it's not a good look for ALT If the "bidding" this guy is highlighting, happens regularly.
