Anyone going to do an automatic ship—weekly? If so cost?

This is very exciting news. I know we will never get an MJ card, but that is what it is. Maybe a custom down the road?

I hope there are limited or no variations, like the baseball set, with one exception. Dennis Rodman with several different hair color variations. In all seriousness, I will probably focus on 80s and 90s players from my youth.

I don't see why they won't eventually do all of the players you listed.

Is it just one card a week?

That would be a slow drip of cards.

Lets play...breakdown of the year...
52 weeks/52 cards

12 to 15 or so rookies as the season goes on, weeding out the pretenders from those that legitametely contribute to their teams.

25 to 28 stars...pretty rough as you couldn't cover every team...does every team have a star?

12 legends left to fill out the rest of the year...being a first year legend in the set should be an honor.

Maybe I'm full of BS, be my guest and share your breakdown.

Absolutely not, step down from the ledge. It should be two per week. Three subjects per week would be great though!

I expect it to be 2 cards per week. Angel’s final contribution to the MLB set was July 30, and while I have no actual evidence to go on, I’m confident he’s been working on the NBA set for the past three months in preparation for this announcement and initial release week.

He’s also recently updated his site with Shop pages for cards and prints.

I'm guessing 2/week. Like others have said, 3 would be fantastic.

52 weeks would cover almost the entire rookie class but doubt that happens.

I think each week will feature one current star and then either one RC or one retired star.

Legends might get their jersey numbered cards (32 Magic 33 Bird would be awesome).

It would be awesome if 100/200/300/etc...cards were pics of rivals/teammates. There are plenty to choose from:

-Russell/Chamberlain
-Bird/Magic
-Russell/Cousy
-Frazier/Monroe
-Stockton/Malone
-Bird/McHale/Parish
-KG/Pierce/Ray
-Bron/Wade/Bosh
-Curry/Klay
-Duncan/Parker/Ginobili
-West/Baylor
-Kobe/Shaquille
-MJ/Pip (I wish)

Hi everyone!

I really appreciate all the kind comments, the supportive energies and all around good vibes from everyone! I’m super excited, and anxious, to finally share all of the Artwork I’ve been working on these past 3 months! I sincerely appreciate it all and I am grateful beyond words… so I’ll do my best to articulate it through my drawings ☺️.

I can’t say much but what I can share is that it will be 1 card a week for the duration of the Basketball Season… approximately 36-40 cards in total for the playing year. These drawings are a lot more involved than the MLB versions and take much longer to draw so 1 week is a great pace for me.

I’ll have signed Prints available for purchase similar to the MLB set as well as signed cards on my website starting this Wednesday.

Stay Amazing my Friends!

I'd love to see a card with Wemby fully extended on which he takes up 1/3 of the image area, and then at that same scale, little teeny-tiny paintings of Muggsy and Spud on each side of him.
It's not about what he can or cannot do, it's about artist burnout putting that much detail every week into three portraits/action shots.

Super excited to see this released. I’m campaigning for a Byron Scott card even though I know there are so many possibilities.

Based on Angel's shop update, specifically the Gallery link on the Home page, it appears we'll be getting Bill Russell within the first few weeks.

Good call. That didn't even cross my mind.

I know someone mentioned Magic (#32) and Bird (#33) being featured with matching jersey/card numbers, so it got me thinking, what are some other players collectors would like to see receive matching jersey/card numbers?

I would love to see Penny Hardaway debut at #1. Even as a Bulls fan who enjoyed watching Rose play, Penny played in an era where basketball was my favorite sport.

People would flip if #s 23 and 24 were skipped as if they were place holders….

I know Jordan has an exclusive contract with Upper Deck, but with the pull of Fanatics, I would hope they reached out for a one-off inclusion in this set.

As for Kobe, that's a matter of dealing with his estate, which again, I would hope Fanatics has already done.

While matching jersey/card numbers is awesome, I also have to remember that Topps has released iconic players for the MLB set's century marks, and I expect that practice to continue.

As someone who hasn't watched the NBA in years, or collected any new basketball cards, I'm hoping for as many legends and retired player as possible, as much of a long shot as that may be.

Hey everyone, extremely disappointing news. I was just informed, this afternoon in fact, that there will be NO NBA LIVING SET PRINTS available for this set. My apologies for announcing that there would be as that was planned up until today. I ask that you do not direct your frustration or disappointment towards me as I am equally shocked by this turn of events. I have absolutely no control over the distribution or decisions made for the particulars of this set unfortunately. To my long standing supporters and Collectors I do sincerely apologize for not being able to provide the Prints that was expected and promised. I will have signed cards available on my website and hopefully the Print situation does not dampen your view of this fantastic set. I have been working diligently and mindfully to provide the best Art I could possibly offer and my hope is that you enjoy what I illustrated. Let’s make this set a legendary one!

Stay Positive. Make Art.

Certainly a bummer, but I'm still excited for the debut tomorrow.

I know the MLB set didn't begin with prints, so maybe we still get them in the future. Either way, onward!

As a print collector, this makes me angry for you Angel. This is easy profit they are taking from you. They print these on demand, so how hard is that? Maybe they will be responsive and add these in later. I just don't understand why they don't do prints on soccer and now basketball. It is easy enough...

I will be buying the cards regardless, and I know they will be great. Keep up the great work! Excited for tomorrow.

No prints is a REALLY POOR decision by Topps\Fanatics! Hey geniuses…it’s not too late to make the right choice!!

The 1 card per week really does dampen the chances of getting common and semi-stars included in the set. Maybe they could hire a second artist to do a card per week as well. Kris Penix from the Star Wars Living set would be a good choice.

There have been about 5000 players in the history of the NBA. And according to Chat, about 100-120 draft picks/FAs make their debuts every year.

Even if they released 3 cards/week, it'll take over 150 years to complete the set.

At 2 cards/week, they'll never run out of subjects.
